“ A viagem ao Mundo Fantasma”

Numa noite escura e chuvosa eu e a minha mãe estávamos no nosso carro em direção a casa, tinha acabado de sair da escola. Estávamos a conversar quando um relâmpago atingiu uma árvore que caiu em cima da parte detrás do carro, onde eu estava. Eu fui para o hospital e fiquei em coma. De repente, acordei num Mundo diferente, parecia um filme de terror, tudo destruído: havia prédios em ruínas, casas destruídas, campos queimados, parecia que lá tinha passado um furacão, que tinha havido um tremor de terra, enfim, nem parecia real…

“A trip to the Ghost World”

On a dark, rainy night my mom and I were in our car heading home, I had just left school. We were talking when lightning struck a tree that fell on top of the back of the car, where I was. I went to the hospital and was in a coma. Suddenly, I woke up in a different world, it looked like a horror movie, everything destroyed: there were ruined buildings, destroyed houses, burned fields, it seemed that there had passed a hurricane, that there had been an earthquake, anyway, it did not even seem real…. Suddenly I heard a sound that I found very strange, it seemed like a horse galloping towards me. I looked to the side and saw 

Subitamente ouvi um som que achei muito estranho, parecia um cavalo a galope na minha direção. Olhei para o lado e vi o Malhado (um cavalo que eu conhecia e já tinha morrido), ele agarrou-me com a boca e continuou a galopar até chegarmos a uma gruta. Eu estava muito confusa naquele momento e para me confundir ainda mais o Malhado começou a falar.

Eu perguntei-lhe:

– Onde estamos? E como é que eu vim aqui parar? E tu não estavas morto?

I asked him:

– Where Are we? And how did I get here? And you weren’t dead?

– Easy, enough questions! We’re in the Ghost World, you’re in a coma and you came here to defeat the shadow ! – Said the horse.

– Calma, chega de perguntas! Estamos no Mundo Fantasma, tu estás em coma e vieste aqui para derrotar o “ Sombra“ ! – Disse o cavalo.

– Então tu estás morto mas eu não? – Perguntei eu aterrorizada.

– Exatamente! – Disse o Malhado.

– Mais uma pergunta. Quem é o “ Sombra“ ? – Perguntei eu.

– O “Sombra “ é o cavaleiro das sombras, ele quer apoderar-se do mundo fantasma, por isso é que tu foste enviada para o derrotar e para fazeres com que todos os habitantes do Mundo Fantasma tenham uma vida sossegada ! – Respondeu o Malhado.

– So you’re dead but I’m not? – I asked terrified.

– Exactly! – Said The Smiley.

– One more question. Who is the “shadow”? – I asked.

– The “shadow” is the shadow Knight, he wants to take over the ghost world, that’s why you were sent to defeat him and to make all the inhabitants of the Ghost World have a quiet life ! – The smitten answered.

– I think I get it, but how much time do I have to beat him? – I asked.

            Sombra

– Acho que já percebi mas tenho quanto tempo para o derrotar? – Perguntei eu.

– Tens uma semana, porque no mundo real estás ligada a umas máquinas que te mantêm viva e se tu não acordares daqui a uma semana eles desligam as máquinas e tu ficas aqui presa. – Respondeu o Malhado.

– E onde é que eu posso encontrar esse “Sombra “ ? – Perguntei eu, a tentar ser corajosa.

– Podes encontra-lo no castelo sombrio que fica a um dia daqui se fores a pé. – Respondeu ele.

– You have a week, because in the real world you’re hooked up to machines that keep you alive and if you don’t wake up in a week they shut down the machines and you’re stuck here. – The smitten answered.

– And where can I find this “Shadow”? – I asked, trying to be brave.

– You can find him in the Dark Castle a day from here if you walk. – He answered.

– Okay, then I’ll go take care of him!!! – I said very confident.

– I’ll go with you, – assured the smitten.

– We leave early tomorrow! – Exclaim.

– Ok, então vou lá tratar dele!!! – Disse eu muito confiante.

– Eu vou contigo  – assegurou o Malhado.

– Partimos amanhã bem cedo! – Exclamei.

 No dia seguinte levantámo-nos bem cedo e começámos a caminhar em direção ao castelo sombrio. Quando lá chegámos já era de noite e tivemos de pernoitar num campo ao lado do castelo.

Na manhã do dia seguinte eu estava já apressada para ir em direção ao castelo, quando o Malhado me travou e disse :

The next day we got up early and started walking towards the Dark Castle. When we got there it was already night and we had to stay overnight in a field next to the castle.

The morning of the next day I was already in a hurry to go towards the castle, when the Spotted caught me and said :

– We have to be careful, there are many traps here.

I slowed down and was always very careful and looking around to see if there were any signs of traps. Suddenly I stepped on a step of the stairs that went up to the door of the castle and The Spotted warned:

– Temos de ter cuidado, há aqui muitas armadilhas.

Eu abrandei e fui sempre com muito cuidado e a olhar em volta para ver se havia algum sinal de armadilhas. De repente pisei um degrau das escadas que subiam até à porta do castelo e o Malhado avisou:

– Estas escadas têm um degrau que aciona uma armadilha, mas ninguém sabe qual é o degrau só o “Sombra “, por isso temos de ter o maior cuidado possível!

– Ok ! – Disse eu.

Começámos a subir e, de repente, o degrau que eu pisei afundou…

– These stairs have a step that triggers a trap, but no one knows which step is only the “shadow”, so we have to be as careful as possible!

– Ok ! – I said.

We started to climb and suddenly the step I stepped on sank…

– Run is a trap!!! – He screamed.

I started going down the stairs as fast as I could and, unexpectedly, I heard a bang olh I looked back and the bug had become trapped in a cage that had fallen after I set the trap.

– Foge é uma armadilha!!! – Gritou o Malhado.

Comecei a descer as escadas o mais rápido que consegui e, inesperadamente, ouvi um estrondo… Olhei para trás e o Malhado tinha ficado preso numa jaula que tinha caído depois de eu acionar a armadilha.

– Tens de entrar no castelo sem mim e quando derrotares o “Sombra “ libertas-me. – Disse o Malhado

Subi as escadas e à minha frente estava a porta do castelo e por mais estranho que parecesse estava aberta. Quando entrei, não conseguia ver nada, estava tudo escuro, mas no meio da sala estava uma pequena luz vermelha a piscar…

– You have to enter the castle without me, and when you defeat the shadow, you release me. – Said The Spotted

I went up the stairs and in front of me was the castle door and as strange as it seemed it was open. When I came in, I couldn’t see anything, it was all dark, but in the middle of the room there was a little red light blinking decid I decided to go there and see what it was, when I got there, I stumbled and carried the light… a trapdoor opened under my feet and I fell into a very scary room where there was a frightening silence and no sign of the “shadow “.
