- A joke is when someone says or does something to make people laugh.

At the Park
The children were playing at the park. Some of them decided to play a joke. When no one was looking they poured water down the slide
and waited.

As Kim was going up the slide the other children started to laugh. Of course Kim didn’t know why. As she sat at the top of the slide she did not notice the water.
But as she went down,
she realised the slide
was wet.

When she got to the bottom, her pants were soaking wet. The other children laughed and laughed, but Kim felt really upset and cold. She started to cry and ran to her mother. She
wanted to go back home.

The children realized that they had been unkind. The said, “We only wanted to play a joke. We are sorry Kim. Please forgive us". Kim's mother said "You should think of the consequences before playing a joke".

A group of children were playing around the pool during a party. Their parents warned them not to go too close to the pool as it was dangerous. They might fall in and they had clothes and shoes on.
At the pool
Everyone was having fun until Ben and
Sam decided to play a joke.
As Mia was walking by the pool, Ben and Sam went running towards her and pushed her into the
pool on purpose.

Fortunately Mia could swim but she swallowed a lot of water.
"Why did you do this to her?" asked her parents. Ben and Sam said "We only wanted to play
a joke."

"This is not a joke!" everyone said "She could have drowned or hurt herself!"
Ben and Sam realised that their joke was very dangerous and were very sorry for it.
They apologised and promised they will never do it again.

The children were having lunch at school. Tony had pickle slices. He wanted to play a joke on his friend Frederick.
It's Not Cucumber!

He put ketchup on his pickle slices and offered them to Frederick. He told him it was cucumber as he knew Frederick never ate pickles.

Frederick ate the pickle slices. After a while he felt his mouth and throat burning and he began to feel sick. He told his teacher it must
have been Tony’s
cucumber slices that
made him sick.

Tony was worried and told the teacher he had given Frederick pickles not cucumber. “I only wanted to play a joke. I didn’t know it
could be dangerous”,
he said.

Frederick had to go to the doctor as he was allergic to pickles. Tony got a punishment. He regretted playing this joke and apologized to
Frederick. He promised
he will never play such
a joke again.

A girl was in the toilet at school. A group of children came in and one of them opened the door on her with a bang. They immediately
ran away laughing.

School bathroom joke
The girl felt really bad and told her
teacher about it. The teacher wanted to know who it was but no one owned up at first. Finally, the children who had done it admitted and said,
“It was only a joke.”

The teacher said it was not a joke but lack of respect. They apologized and promised not to do it again.

The Leaking Sink
A young boy went to the toilet at school to wash his hands. An older boy splashed water on the floor and said the sink was leaking. The young boy slipped on the wet floor and hurt his arm.

The boy who splashed the water said he did not mean to hurt anyone but just wanted to play a joke. He realised that such a joke could easily turn out wrong.
He apologised and wiped the
water off the floor.
