 Many years ago there was a happy family living in a small village. This family had two children named Laura and Dean. Dean has got blond hair. He is 5 years older than Dean. Dean goes to middle school and likes Maths the most. At school they play hide and seek with their friends in the garden. They got up early and went to school on that day. The lesson was English. Laura doesn't like English. The teacher  was Mrs. Darla.She realized Laura's reluctant behavior. So that Mrs. Darla talked to Laura. She told English lesson was in fact very enjoyable and sentences weren't complicated at all. Mrs. Darla used  more enjoyable games for them. English lesson was really fascinating for her anymore. She helped her other friends. Laura studied her lesson regularly. Laura became better in her all lessons step by step.

She had only one dream now. That was :Becoming an English teacher and an example for children like her teacher, Mrs.Darla.

THE LIAR LION

Once upon a time, there was a lion in the jungle. His name was Louis and he had no friends. Nobody wanted to be his friend, not because he was a predator but because he was a big liar. Louis lied all the time so he was always alone. One fine day, the lion met a beautiful butterfly called Harry. After some time, they became best friends but the other animals couldn’t understand their relationship. Harry was so nice and friendly that he decided to teach Louis how to make friends. Thanks to Harry, the liar lion stopped telling lies and started being himself. In the end, the liar lion made lots of good friends and wasn’t alone anymore.

LET’S PLAY HIDE AND SEEK!

Ahmet and Ali play hide and seek.

It is Ahmet’s turn to hide.

So Ali starts to count ,’’one,two,three…’’

First Ahmet tries hiding a palm tree.But it is too skinny.Ali keeps counting ‘’four,five,six,………’’

Ahmet thinks Woofy’s doghouse would  be a good hiding place.But he takes a nap inside.

Ali completes counting ‘’seven,eight,nine,…..’’

Ahmet shouts ‘’Here I am!’’

Then Ali goes to hide and Ahmet starts counting ‘’one,two,three…’’

Ahmet crawls under the bench in the garden.

Ali runs all over the yard looking for Ahmet.But he can’t find him.

Finally he calls out ‘’Where are you?’’

An Incredible Day

We went to Antalya with my family two months ago. On the first day of our holiday, my family prepared a suprise birthday party , I was very happy and the next day we went to the beach with my brother.The weather was very hot and the sea was very calm,the sunlight was shining the blue sea, colorful fishes  were swimming as they were dancing

 Then I started to walk. The sun was beautiful. I asked my mother if I could swim in the sea. My mom said it could be after dinner too. But I was looking forward to swimming in the sea. We threw ourselves into the sea with my brother immediately after we had our meal. Despite of  my mother's warnings, we unconsciously went away from the shore while we were racing with my brother for swimming.

At that moment, I realized that a giant wave was coming towards us, a deep fear arose in me, but I shouldn’t have been afraid, I told my brother to take my hand and take a deep breath.

My brother took a deep breath and took my hand. We tried to escape from the wave, but the wave was so big that it swallowed us before we could run away.When we woke up, I couldn't see the beach, but I tried not to reveal it to him so that my brother would not be afraid. But I heard that seagulls always fly in north way. We started following the seagulls with my brother, but they did not reach us to land.

We were stuck in the middle of the sea, my brother started to cry and then I saw a land. We swam towards the land. We were out of breath when we arrived. We fell asleep because of tiredness. When we woke up, we saw a ship just ahead. We shouted and waved our hands for showing us. They took us to the ship and delivered us to our families. Everyone was very scared, but now we were happy.

Hi diary, today  I will tell you  our holiday.Firstly,  my family and I decided to go on a holiday in Antalya one week ago. I was so excited before we  went to the great hotel.The hotel was fantastic because there was awesome swimming pools ,aqua parks, enjoyable places, different kind of activities. And also our room has a beautiful view and comfortable beds.Lets talk about little bit of activities in the hotel. There are many sports activities such as volleyball football,basketball etc.

 There is also a small  cafe inside the hotel too. The cafe is small but great. There are also open buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel. The meals were so delicious.

First day of our holiday we had a breakfast and we went to seaside. The weather was very hot and dry but the sea was cool and nice. I started to swim with my sister. Suddenly I heard a scream. I looked at the around and I saw a girl while she is getting drowned. I run through to her and helped her. She was fine. I talked with her and became friends. Her name was Duru. Then we went to hotel, I learned that we stayed at the same hotel. We went to our rooms after dinner. 

Then, my parents took me to Manavgat Waterfall to make me happy. It was very nice, we had a picnic there. We took a lot of photographes. While we were leading back to the hotel, we saw a flock of sheep. They were so cute. We had dinner two hours later after arriving at the hotel. I ate fish and chips for dinner and drank orange juice. I ate ice cream for dessert. All were very tasty. After dinner, we went to our rooms and slept. I was so sad that it was the last day of our holiday.

 The next day, on the way home, l saw Duru again. We were very suprised. Later while we were talking, we learned that we lived in the same city. Then we said goodbye and got in the car and kept going. Then we came home three hours later.I was very tired when I came home and I slept. The next day, we had a very nice breakfast. After having breakfast, I took my diary and wrote the rest of what happened.

Next day we did not go to sea because it was rainy. Instead of swimming we went to walk in the forest. Our mom prefered to stay in the hotel. My sister and I walked in the forest at about half an hour. Suddenly we realized that we were alone and we understood that we were lost. We panicked. We ran. Suddenly my foot went into a hole and I fell was a pain on my foot. We started yelling. Finally, someone heard our screams and helped us. Then they carried me to the hotel. My mother was scared when she saw me. We immediately called a doctor. The doctor put my foot in a cast. There was a small crack. After resting for a few days, I was able to walk.

                                            MY  SURPRISE  BIRTHDAY PARTY

              I opened my eyes with happiness in the morning.The sun was lightening my room. I opened the window and smelled the flowers.I heard the sound of birds.It was a great spring day.Everything was great.

          In this morning,I had a very nice breakfast with my family.I was very excited because today was my birthday.Birds were always near my window as if they were saying  happy birthday  to you. Eveything  was normal.I wonder if my family forgot my my birthday.

        Every year they celebrate my birthday early in the mornings.Meanwhile,my violin course came into my mind.I went to my violin class and my teacher ,my friends forgot my birthday.I came home when my lessons were over. There was no preparation for my birthday at home.I entered my room.There was a map on my desk.I called my mum but there was nobody at home.I wondered  where they went,what the map was. There were lots of questions in my mind.

         I followed the signs on the map.I arrived the place. Eveybody was there.Everywhere was decorated.Everybody said ’’Happy birthday to you’’.I surprised   when I saw them.

         It was a  very nice birthday.We had so much fun all day.I will never forget this surprised party.I thanked them all  for this surprised party.The  day I started sadly ended very well.

                                                DREAMLAND

             It's good to love even if it's a dream. Dreams always carry people to a completely different world. Sometimes an endless greenery, sometimes an ocean extending to eternity ... Who knows, maybe a forest inhabited by unicorns... The land of dreams is the biggest and most powerful gateway to endless beauties. All kinds of people of all ages, sizes, and sizes can enter the land of dreams, but before entering, the door asks them a question:

“What is your dream?”

  If the person has a good dream, the door opens and the person goes to enter, but if the person has bad dream, the door will be locked and not let that person in.

One day, Merve and her friend Selim were very curious about the world of dreams and decide to go to the world of dreams. Merve has a very good heart.

He always looks at events from the bright side. However, his friend Selim was never like that. He used to humiliate his friends and make fun of him. Merve was often warning him about this. However, Selim, Merve's warnings

did not consider.

When they come to door, door asked them what is their dream?

Merve: “I want to play games with my dog on the endless grass.”

The Door: “You can enter in.”

Then the door asked to Selim.

Selim: “I want to go endless grass and make joke to Merve.”

The Door Roared and said: “You are not a good person” and locked the door.

Selim was really upset about it.   He went to home and all night thought the new joke to Merve tomorrow at school.  When he went to school he was carrying a bottle of water and he decided to wet Merve.  Merve didn’t say anything because when she was in dream World the door said to her that be calm and  tolerant to Selim when he maked you any joke. She was very calm and go went home. She thought that she should talk with Selim and explain to him that his behaviour is not good and it really hurts her.  Later, she talked with Selim and explain everything.

Selim was really upset because he didn’t want to hurt Merve, he just wanted to make a joke. He understands that sometimes our behaviour hurts others even we don’t want it. Selim decide to be more careful about making joke.

Selim was no longer bad person, he didn’t make any bad jokes to anyone and now he can also enter the dreams of World with Merve.

        Ramadan Feast in Kahramanmaraş

Kerim and Ali are very close friends. They live in Kahramanmaraş, in the southeast of Turkey. They attend 5th grade in the Hacı Osman Arıkan Secondary School. Their hometown is quite small but it is developing. The people are friendly and hospitable. There are various kind of dishes in Kahramanmaraş cuisine.

Kerim and Ali were very excited because it was Ramadan month. They were fasting. It was a little bit challenging activity for them. All day, from sunrise to sunset they had to neither drink nor eat anything. In the evening, they could eat delicious dishes and could drink various beverages.

One day they saw a little girl crying in the garden.

Kerim asked her “Why are you crying?” 

The little girl answers “I was fasting but I’m hungry now.” 

Ali said “You must be patient. You will eat delicious dishes later.” 

Kerim asked “How old are you?” 

The little girl answered: “I’m 8 years old.” 

Kerim: “You are quite young so you can fast till the afternoon.” Then the little girl was happy and played with her friends. 

Kerim told Ali: “We have to make it easier, she is still too young to fast all day.” Both of them felt peaceful and dreamed about Ramadan Feast. 

Ramadan Feasts are amazing in their city. In the Feast Eve, every family cleans up the entire house and prepares desserts. Parents buy their children small gifts and new clothes. On the feast day, people visit their relatives to greet each other’s feast.

Kerim and Ali were looking forward to feast’s coming. They were very excited to have their presents and new dresses. Kerim’s father promised him to buy new soccer crampons. That would be another great feast in their life.
