CHAPTER 1. The grizzly bear

Hi I am Madeline I love bears they are just adorable. Well that's my opinion. One Saturday afternoon i went hunting with my dad not for bears of course he also knew i loved them. Suddenly we bumped into a brown rock it looked fuzzy i was confused. Until i saw it was an adorable little grizzly cub! My dad knew i loved them but told me to stay back because if the Mommy bear thinks we are trying to hurt her cub that wouldn't be a good thing. The grizzly cub walked into a big dark cave in the mountain right in front of us.

 Of course I wanted to follow it and see what it was doing dad stopped me and said " No it's to dangerous." " What if we go together not all the way in just to peek in?" I said. he agreed not to happily i was excited to see what was in the cave. We peeked into the cave and saw the cute little cub with the Mommy bear, they were just sleeping. It was adorable i took my phone out of my pocket and took a picture of the adorable scene right in front of us. It was adorable how could i not take a picture am i right.  My dad went to hike up the mountain for deer for dinner while he was gone i walked into the cave the bears suddenly woke up i froze. It was silent for a second till i heard a giant growl from the Mommy bear.

''What was i thinking'' i thought to myself. My dad came back i quickly got back to where i was before my dad asked " You look scared are you ok?" I shook my head yes but he obviously thought i wasn't. I told him everything honestly so he wouldn't get mad he just said never to do it again. I was relieved when we got back home i told mom everything she also loved bears so she wanted to come next time to see the bears. The next week we went back to the cave and what we saw was heartbreaking. The Mommy bear was all alone and sobbing for it's cub to come back me and my mom looked at each other bravely we agreed to help find the cub and bring it back to it's mamma.

We looked high and low for the cub but couldn't find it we went up the mountain and saw a fox and the poor little cub the cub looked scared at the fox. We knew what to do me and my mom said " We should make a trap to trap the fox and take the cub home." We both thought that was a great idea we set up sticks, pebbles, river water and rope from my dads backpack. We set the water in a hole in the ground with sticks around it to make it look like a bowl of water. It lowered the fox in it struggled to drink it cause rope was on top of it me and my mom quickly pulled the rope and tied it to a tree.
