In this collaborative book, the schools present details for children's most favorite place in their neighborhood. This point is highlighted after a vote following democratic procedures.Then the children communicate by recording their questions in the e-book, about other school's most interest point. Finally, if they want, they make suggestions for improvement for any of them. Let's go!

1st Kindergarten Kallithea-Attiki-Greece

Our favorite place is Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. Its a public space, where everyone has free access and can participate in a multitude of cultural, educational, athletic, environmental and recreational activities and events.

 The SNFCC’s has a lot of space to play, exercise and be strong and healthy. We like very muxh the soil. Many trees give us oxygen. We are not in danger when we play hide and seek. It also has boats on the canal !!

We love to go there because we are doing so many activities and we are very happy to meet our friends!!

Of course we are happy with our friends in the playground...

...and every where.

the most popular event for all, which is the fountains in the canal of the SNFCC, because they dance daily with music.

Answer:  No there is no problem, except for a few hours when it has important concerts and events

Our school is built ON the old bed of the Stream. This comes to be really dangerous, as it happened on 2013...

The water used to flow here free and clean. And so it should always be...

1. Is the river clean? Does it have fish? Αre you fishing? How?

It is not so clean. Many rubbish are in it. It has lots of fishes, but no, we do not fishing there.

2.Do you swim in the river? Do you do boating? :

Usually the water is not so much, so we can't swim. The sea is close though!

Yes we used to go to the playground every Friday with the school, but not now because of the coronavirus...

A wetland in our neighborhood

Lets explore it. What can you see/do there?

You can see

trees and feel their relaxation and coolness! 

You can see a wonderful wetland! River and cataracts

There is also playground and pic nic area

You can visit the animal park and explore water animals by the river! 

As you see after the photos we took, we worked in groups and took over 4 different themes (trees, animals, wetland and relaxation places). 

After all, visiting nature is inspiring and always motivates our need to express through art!  

Finally, for the visitors of our beloved Platanakia we created proposed walks and  routes in "my Google maps" that include special water spots (river, cataract), trees of course, animal park, bridges etc. This map is enriched with photos of the spots so that makes the area to the possible visitor even more attactive.

Do you go with school to the wetland? 

Yes, we go every year with our school there.  We also went during the previous week. 

- Αre you having a picnic there?

Yes last week we went there the whole school, teachers, students and parents and we had a pic nic also.

Yes there are animals in the river, turtles, ducks, frogs and of course a lot of birds

Μετά από διαλογική συζήτηση με τα παιδιά αποφασίσαμε ότι τα  αγαπημένα μας σημεία στην Παιανία, είναι τα είναι 5 !Μιλήσαμε για αυτά και τα ζωγραφίσαμε!!!

After an interactive discussion with the children we decided that our favorite places in Peania are 5! We talked about them and painted them !!!

Το περίφημο σπήλαιο της Παιανίας Κουτούκι Το "Κουτούκι" είναι το μεγαλύτερο και το ωραιότερο από τα εξήντα (60) περίπου σπήλαια της Αττικής. Βρίσκεται στις ανατολικές παρυφές του κυρίως ορεινού όγκου του Υμηττού, σε υψόμετρο 510 μέτρων, και υπάγεται στον Δήμο Παιανίας.

The famous cave of Paiania Koutouki "Koutouki" is the largest and most beautiful of the sixty (60) caves of Attica. It is located on the eastern outskirts of the main mountain range of Ymittos, at an altitude of 510 meters, and belongs to the Municipality of Pεania.

Το Μουσείο Βορρέ ιδρύθηκε το 1983 και είναι ένα διαχρονικό μουσείο λαϊκής και σύγχρονης τέχνης στην Παιανία της ανατολικής Αττικής. Διαθέτει έκταση άνω των 18 στρεμμάτων στα οποία υπάρχουν διάφορα κτήρια, κήποι και αυλές, τα οποία κατανέμονται ανάμεσα στις συλλογές της λαογραφίας και της σύγχρονης ελληνικής τέχνης!

The Vorreς Museum was founded in 1983 and is a timeless museum of folk and contemporary art in Peania, eastern Attica. It has an area of over 18 acres in which there are various buildings, gardens and courtyards, which are distributed among the collections of folklore and contemporary Greek art.

Koutouki Cave of Peania is located at the top of Ymittos. It is a high mountain! It is quite cold inside the cave.

Question: 

-How is the church of the birth of Christ iside?

"The Nativity of Christ" includes icons, utensils, books, ecclesiastical objects as well as a photographic "journey" of the historic church (19th century) of "Christmas", which was the first metropolitan church of the city after the liberation, in Oplarchigou Square Giannis Davari.
