We would like to thank our dear teachers andstudents who attended the 3rd Team Meeting. It was a nice meeting.

The effects of drought on the planet's green lungs may be more insidious than you think. In the virtual world of climate models it is assumed that at the end of a period of arsura plants return very quickly to health.
But according to a university study, trees in a drought-stricken area would then take 2 to 4 years to return to normal levels of growth.

Increase in drought in a certain geography will cause the extinction of many plants due to drought. Therefore, let's protect water resources for the continuation of biological diversity.

¡¡¡Hola yo!!! La crisis climática ya está transformando los bosques, con árboles más jóvenes y más cortos.Las sequías están afectando nuestros bosques y matando nuestros árboles :(

I made a poster describing how drought affects our forests. I hope you all will like it

If drought increases, plants and forest decrease, plants and trees need land. They grow and thrive thanks to the soil, but if there is a drought, the soil also disappears,
causing the vegetation
and forests to dry
and disappear.

* THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON FORESTS
Climate change is expected to increase the negative effects that have begun to be observed on forests and consequently on forest products in many parts of the world. According to the climate projections in the 3rd Assessment Report of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), global average surface temperatures may rise between 1.4 and 5.8 ºC until 2100. Such rapid temperature changes over a short period of time will seriously affect forests.
Nazan YILMAZER
*The most important potential impacts of climate change on forests and the forestry sector can be summarized as items:
It is expected that the tree species will shift northward or higher altitudes such as mountains in response to rising temperatures. This means that the distribution of forests over geography will change. While species may adapt by moving from one region to another over time, rates of change of location can cause significant differences in future natural endurance traits.
Although forest ecosystems are carbon consumers, they play the opposite role in forest fires, releasing carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and other nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere. Heat waves, especially combined with long-term regional droughts, have a clear connection with the frequency and severity of forest fires. At higher temperatures it will result in forest fires being more frequent, wider and more severe. Significant changes in the spatial distribution of tree species, the species composition of the forest, and the formation and size of the pest population will also affect the dynamics of forest fires.

Drought dries up trees and destroys forests.Let's protect water resources for the continuation of biological diversity.
Drought is one of the important ecological factors affecting forest ecosystems. This factor has created
problems have increased in recent years with increasing global temperature and it seems likely to increase further in the future. Drought plants it can reduce the above-ground biomass increase by 30-70% and when it is long-term, it can reduce their natural distribution andit can limit their diversity.
