Once upon a time, there was a very happy country. People of this country were so happy that the country was known as HAPPYLAND. The Queen and the King were very kind- hearted and were ruling the country in peace. They had a daughter. She was 7 years old. She was also very good behaved princess. Her mother and her father loved their daughter very much. She was the Princess of all the country.

One day, while Princess Charlotte was playing in the garden of the castle, she lost her baby doll and started looking for it. She , without being aware, went far away from the castle.

Normally, she would have never done such a thing but her baby doll was her favourite toy so she wanted to find it quickly. She told nothing to her nannies. When her nannies recognized that she was not in the garden, they were very worried. They looked everywhere to find her but they couldn’ t. The princess was nowhere. Meanwhile, the King and the Queen were in town to listen to the problems of the people. When they returned to the castle they learnt that the Princess was lost. They were shocked. The guardians, soldiers and the other servants of the castle went outside to find Princess Charlotte.

Princess Charlotte kept running until she arrived in the forest. She was right. Her baby doll was standing in front of her. Cookie, the naugthy dog of the castle, carried it all the way long. She was very angry with Cookie. But she would think about it later. First she needed to hug her baby doll. She was so worried that she wouldn’t see it again. She held it and hugged it as tightly as possible. Everything was alright now. She felt safe and happy again. She must go back to the castle. At that moment she realized how far she came. It was also getting dark. She heard wolves howling in the distance. She was terrified and didn’t remember the way back to the castle any more. She started to cry and called her mum.

It was getting dark and cold now. She was very hungry and started to feel cold. She was sure that her dog knew the way to the castle. She called her dog but Cookie didn’t respond her voice. She looked around but couldn’t see her dog anywhere. If she had found it, they could have reached the castle. She felt herself so lonely and helpless. She thought about her parents. The king and the queen must have been so worried about her. If she had been at home now, she would have been sleeping in her warm bed. With these thoughts in her mind, she started walking though the dark forest. She and her dog had to find  someone to get help.

Because the season was spring ,the forest was very cold at night.As the trees were just beginning to  turn green ,each took a different shape and looked terrible in the dark. the sound of owls and predators scared Princess Charlotte very much . She hugged her baby ,thought she had to be brave ,and continued walking .She saw light ahead .She started running towards the light,then something caught on her foot and fell to ground.

Princess Charlotte hit her head against a stone as she fell and unfortunately fainted there. She remained there for a long time, motionless. In the morning, the princess' eyes opened slightly and she began to recover. She tried to understand  where she was and what was happening. She started to see clearly.  She finally realized that it was her dog  Cookie. Cookie wanted to apologize to her, as if he was blaming himself for what happened to the princess. When the princess passed out, Cookie found her and waited by her until morning.          Meanwhile, the king and queen were looking for their daughters with a large team.

The princess suddenly heard and recognized the sound of a bird. It was a green nightingale who came to the window of her room every day and sang melodies to her. She came in that morning but when she could not see the princess in the window, she was worried and asked about the princess from the animals in the forest. On the other hand, the whole country was mobilized as the king and queen searched for the princess because the princess was lost when her parents were not in the palace to listen to the problems of her people, and so the people of this beautiful country were sad and worried as if their children were lost.

The princess thought she'd find her way by following the yellow nightingale’s voice. He started following the yellow nightingale. Cookie was going after the princess. Suddenly, the Princess fell into a pit covered with leaves. Cookie started barking in pain. The princess cried with fear she said that ‘’Cookie help me.’’ Cookie was running around to help the princess and barking so the Princess wouldn't be scared. The princess's knee was bleeding. After a while, Cookie put a long tree branch in her mouth to help her. When the princess saw the tree branch in Cookie's mouth, she smiled gratefully that she wasn't alone and that she was someone who was trying to save her.

At that time, an elderly couple was walking through the forest. They were walking to their cottage which was in the forest. Their house was far away from the town. They preferred living alone in the forest.  While walking they heard the dog, Cookie, barking. When they went towards the voice they saw Cookie. Cookie was the happiest dog in the world because there was someone to help Princess Charlotte.  When the couple saw the princess in pain they immediately helped her. A warm hug. A few good words. It was what Charlotte needed. They took Charlotte and Cookie to their cottage. It was warm inside. The old lady had already made cake in the morning.  Some cakes, hot milk and homemade pretzels. And of course some food for Cookie, too. Charlotte remembered that she was living in a country full of good people.

Charlotte loved the lifestyle of this old couple. The old couple; they had horses, chickens, lambs and many other animals. Charlotte had never known about this natural life before and wanted to stay here as she got to know this life. The old couple didn't initially ask Charlotte where she came from to have a rest. When they asked Charlotte, however, whenever Charlotte came across this question, she avoided answering it because she loved this life so much.

In the evening Charlotte hugged her baby doll tightly and lay down on the sofa. She thought of the tales her mother told her every night. Seeing that the little girl was upset, Emma, the old lady,  went to her and told her a fairytale. While Charlotte was listening to the old lady , she felt asleep.Her baby doll fell down from her hands.  Emma took the doll and recognized the  figure embroidered with the symbol of the royal family on the doll.Suspecting this, Emma showed her husband Paul the shape. First they were afraid, and they worried if this little girl was a princess. Then they were frightened because people could have  thought that  they had kidnapped her. But then they felt relieved because the king and queen were understanding, good people.
