This story explains to your child how their little brother/sister is being born. In a short simple story about childbirth.  how the baby grows inside of their mommy's tummy. Your child will learn the correct wording for each part of childbirth.

Mommy, what is this bump doing in your tummy? I ask mommy looking confused. mommy laughs and tells me it's a surprise.

I then ask mommy to tell me how she got the bump in her tummy. As I slightly put my head on her stomach seeing if it could be a monster. 

Mommy! is there a monster in your tummy? no, it's not a monster. ill tell you the story of how it all began.

one day I and daddy were out on a walk. as we were going to the place we always walked. 

daddy then gets on one knee. And askes me if I would like to live and be with him forever. 

Then me and daddy decided to plan a big party which is a wedding when 2 couples are in love. and we both say "I do" to one another.

after a few years, me and daddy were very tired. And before bed, daddy gave me a seed and I ate it. it's only a special seed daddy can only give to mommy to eat. Half of the seed came from mommy and the other half of the seed  came from your daddy. Daddy’s seed joined mommy’s to make a new seed that will grow in her stomach this is called fertilization. as time goes on that's when mommy gets the bump because the seed is growing inside her tummy.

As the seed grows it becomes bigger and bigger. And it starts to look like you and me. the seed lives inside a fetus. which is inside mommy's tummy the placenta is where the baby also grows and it grows like a balloon inside mommy's stomach. that protects the baby. The umbilical cord is where the baby gets feed. Whatever mommy eats the baby eats it too.

so how does the baby grows? Well, it takes 9 months for the baby to grow inside mommy's stomach. This is called the stages of child development and trimesters. During the pregnancy is when mommy has a baby. the baby grows and has arms hands, fingers, feet, and toes, and the baby can now open and close its hand's. Fingernails and toenails are beginning to develop and the ears are formed.  the little heart is the baby and the big heart is the mommy.

During mommy's pregnancy sometimes she has to go to the doctor. To see if the baby is healthy we don't want a sick baby so we have to go to the doctor it's like a check-up but for the baby.

 Mommy then takes an ultrasound test the ultrasound is like a little picture to see what's inside it's not scary. Mommy then gets a result to see if the baby would be pink or blue. The pink is for girls and blue is for boys the nurse will tell you the gender when mommy is about 18 to 21 weeks pregnant. And then she will throw a big party for everyone to know if she's having a boy or girl

When it gets close to mommy's due date to have the baby. mommy goes to the hospital because she is in labor. The baby is now ready to be your new little brother or sister. the baby may be normal or breech which the neutral way is for the baby head to be forward and away from the top of mommy's tummy. The breech way is where the legs are not near the top of the belly. The baby moves a lot so sometimes this happens the baby can't sit still. During labor, expulsion happens and the balloon just wants to pop because there is no more room.  It grows to be 6cm to 10cm! When the baby is about to be born. the baby  goes through a stage called dilation at first it's as small as a pea and can grow as big as a cantaloup.

When the baby wants to finally come there are different ways the baby can be delivered. a C-section and a Cesarean section is when mommy goes into a special room and the doctor makes a little pocket and takes out the baby.  The normal way is when mommy pushes out the baby and the stork comes and delivers the baby. To the room they put mommy in and you get to meet your baby brother or sister.
