Tour through Ruta de Paz, Morazán, Where the wind whispers stories.

For our August vacation, my friend Fannys and I decided to go on a one-week tour of the peace route that is located in the department of Morazán, this route was widely known outside the Salvadoran borders for being a region controlled by the forces of opposition during the armed conflict that ended in 1992, we decided to make an itinerary to make the trip more pleasant and avoid difficulties

with accommodation since at this time the hotels are saturated with national and international tourists, we also decided to go in the transport route 328 that leads from San Miguel to San Francisco Gotera, then we took route 329 that takes us directly to the municipality of Perquin, we thought it was raining because it was the biggest and most famous winter festival but we had good weather even in the night it rained where everything felt very good.

The first destination that we are going to visit was the Municipality of Perquin, and at this time the Winter Festival is celebrated, which is an artistic event with different dance, folklore and cultural groups such as the feathered Cacaopera that the gigantona of Jocoro, the old men of August and the national ballet among the best and largest groups in the area and the country with which they put the best atmosphere this is done in commemoration of the end of the armed conflict and the beginning of a period of peace and tranquility,

here we buy handicrafts, typical food, we participated in the ritual of the Lenca princess also then we went to the museum of the revolution that is a few meters away to a historical experience of what was the armed conflict in El Salvador, then in the afternoon we did a walk to Cerro de Perquin where we did bird watching, hike and trekking among the pines and we took the time to make some beautiful postcards and a big bonfire We started from a small one that with the dry pine leaves became bigger and bigger where the tour guides told us fantastic and very interesting stories of the area, here we stayed to camp.

Then the next day we went to check-in at the Hotel Perkin Lenca, this is characterized by being rooms of pine wood cabins, stone steps with stairs, terrace, with a large restaurant where the waitress said that they prepare national and international food such as Lasagna, filet mignon, hamburger, croassant and pupusas is well known for its standards of quality and cleanliness.
