          Once upon a time but not so long ago, a beautiful young girl named Cindy Ella, great granddaughter of Cinderella, lived in a crowded big city. If you expect to read the original story of Cinderella, we strongly advise you to stop reading now,  you may get disappointed because this is not the story of the girl desperately in love with the prince once but a strong, ambitious and self-confident woman, who was aware of the dangers in life. 

Cindy Ella was a student of PHD in the Department of  Short Stories at University of Tale. She was working on her thesis on Media Literacy,  a very popular and crucial topic of her time. It was aiming to raise awareness against cyber risks and threads, to access the media, to have a  critical understanding the media and to interact with it.

Since Cindy Ella read and researched a lot about disinformation and cybercrimes, she was very careful when she got spams. Also, she used an antivirus programme invggr her computer to protect her files. On her social media, she sometimes got messages from cyberbullies and never replied them.

She became worried and realized what a big problem cyberbullying was when her fellow student told her that she saw a picture of herself posted on Instagram by her classmate that made her uncomfortable.

Cindy Ella felt horrible after she heard that, so she decided to educate her peers about the dangers of cyberbullying.

So the next day, she decided to start an anti-cyberbullying support group for her university. 

At that night, Cindy Ella thought how to find supporters for this group. Then, she decided to organize a party to introduce her ideas and find supporters for the anti-cyberbullying group.

Next day, in the classroom she talked about her plan and asked if the students could help her to organise a party. Everybody agreed and also got excited with the idea.

         As they had planned, they invited all faculty members and students to the party. The goal of the party was to celebrate spring and raise awareness about media-literacy issues. Everybody was enyoying in the ballroom of the university that night. The music was muted and Cindy Ella showed up. Just as she was making a presentation about cyberbullying, the screen was gone and all the phones in the ballroom got a common message. The same message was on the screen, as well. People were shocked!!!

The message on the screen and on the phones as well was ''Real Party Starts Now!'' with white Letters on black screen. Bullies trapped the students in and from the speaker a robotic voice was heard; saying ''We will not let you  out'' everybody was shocked ,some whispers started ! Then other voice raises again saying ''only when you  tell us all your secrets.'

All the guests were in silence . A little bit later, guests started to whisper but  all of them doing this , it became loud so quickly

Cindy Ella started to worry, tried to stay calm  and she raised her voice. Not yelling but speaking surely of herself.

She mentioned about her step- sisters and how she was humiliated by them.Because of their bad behaviours towards her, she had to leave the village and go to university for a better life! And so I am here ,thanks my step sisters she cried!

 Everybody stayed quiet for a while without knowing what to do. From one corner,  a guy started clapping so strongly, one by one everybody joined him by cheering Cindy Ella how strong she was. And standing right there encouraging everybody to do the same. And so they did!

First, a girl following by a boy, another boy and another girl. Everybody told the truths,disclosed their secrets. While they were doing so, a voice from the speaker came out  telling them to stop, yelling at them, totally frustrated !

 Cindy Ella walked to the stage 

when the curtains opened!

Cindy went towards the voices. Standing behind the curtains were her stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella who had done so much harm for years.

They shouted that they would continue to humiliate her on Instagram, bully her, fake news about her, and after that, the party was over and everyone went home.

Cindy Ella was in shock. How could she overcome this problem? Because the aim of Drizella and Anastasia, as they did before, was to humiliate Cindy Ella. She was very upset.

She was unhappy. No matter what she did, she could not get rid of the pressure of step-sisters.

Sometimes they use Drizella and Anastasia. To defend herself Cindy always reported abuse or sent to spam.

Tom, her best friend, went to visit her home the following day. Everyone called him Prince as a nickname. They studied at the same University.

What was Cindy's problem? he thought. Then he asked  Cindy why she was upset. Cindy told everything to Tom, who was not able to attend the party that night and was unaware of the events. She cried and she said she could not stand the fake news about her, inappropriate messages and bullying. She even said that she was tired of the bad messages of her stepmother and sisters.  Tom could not bear the sadness of his beloved friend.

Suddenly he had an idea. If she used social media well, she could fight the bullying of her step-sisters and stepmother. She would become good digital citizenship. Immediately he explained her opinion to Cindy. When Cindy Ella heard about Tom's idea, she became happy. They went to the University Library and met with an expert. They would also read books and attend a course on e-Safety.

Cindy was so happy. They smiled like never before that night.

    Cindy Ella woke up in peace the next day and got out of bed.

    She was very happy. She could not stand still and was very excited. She rushed to the phone after breakfast. She called Tom.

    '' Good morning Tom! Can we go to the university library today? " she asked.

   Tom said ''Sure, why not? Let's meet at the library in an hour.''

       While reading the books on the subject, they were learning what to watch out for and what methods to use to prevent cyberbullying. They also took notes on what they had learned.

      They did not understand how time passed in the library. When they searched, they found new information.

Tom came across an image about cyberbullying in one of the books.

     The picture was explaining the methods of preventing cyberbullying, but there was no information on how to apply them.

         To learn the procedures to be taken, Cindy Ella and Tom applied an online course.  He admitted that they had to be trained by an expert who had a good understanding of the computer and had a good knowledge of cyberbullying prevention methods.

      For more comprehensive information; they left the library and went to a course center.

       When they went to the course center, they were greeted by a good-humored expert:

-Hello, how can I help you?

Cindy Ella told him that she wanted to learn more about cyberbullying in order not to go through it again. To her and Tom's delight, the expert said:

-I've got just the right course for you!

When they walked into the classroom, they saw Cyber Bullying Slogans:

Don't do unto others what you don't want done unto you.

Be a good person, threats and hostility do not make you a good person.

Think well, be good.

Do not be afraid!

Don't be a cyberbully, be a friend!

The cyberbullying class started and they were very attentive to their teacher. Cindy was so fascinated that she told Tom:

-If this was to be done in any  school, the cyberbullying wouldn't even exist. 

Tom replied: 

-Why don't we talk to the warden and make an Optional cyberbullying course, what do you say?

      The next day, at school, Cindy and Tom went into the principal's office to tell him the brilliant idea of creating an optional course about Cyberbullying. He was delighted with their proposal and began working on the optional to introduce it as soon as possible into the syllabus. They'll finally be able to make a difference, they'll be able to stop cyberbullying!

       After taking the course, Anastasia and Drizella understood how their behaviour affected Cindy Ella, who did nothing wrong to them. They mustered up the courage to admit they were wrong and apologize to Cindy Ella.

Cindy Ella accepted the apology and suggested they did a project together.

      Cindy Ella and Tom took e-safety, coding and application creation lessons in the course. When they finished the course successfully, they started to work on an application, which kept them in safe on the web. 

      The application identified unsafe sites, links and forger people. It followed their footprint on the web. And alerted them when they did something that could make them unsafe or made somebody uncomfortable.

        In the following days, everybody in their university, downloaded the application that created by Cindy Ella and Tom. Their application made people sure that they were in safe on the web. So they continued using internet safely. And they lived happily ever after, without cyberbullies and forgers...
