ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WERE

GREAT STUDENTS AT AHI EVRAN VOCATIONAL

AND TECHNICAL ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL.

THEY STARTED A NEW PROJECT AND THEY MET NEW FRIENDS FROM DIFFERENT CITIES AND COUNTRIES. THEY WORKED TOGETHER, THEY LEARNED TOGETHER AND THEY IMPROVED THEIR LANGUAGE SKILLS.THEY USED DIFFERENT WEB 2.0 TOOLS AND THEY HAD A GREAT CHANCE TO COMMUNICATE WITH PARTNERS IN WEBINARS.

KAHOOT GAMES

MERAL ŞEN HASAN POLATKAN ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL ISTANBUL/TURKEY

KAHOOTs were our tasks of January. Our students created Kahoot games as web 2.0 tools. They prepared the questions about their cities. Firsty, we watched the presentations of the cities. We shared the links of Kahoot and practiced them together like a contest.

The activity designed for January was the creation and the playing with word games, creating online wordsearches, random wheels, crossword puzzles using WordWall app.

Absolutely one of the nicest activity of this project to improve the 4 skills and to share good moments! Students watched a movie in English and then they used the forum to write about movie reviews.

We watched different movies together with the help of online meetings.

Then we recorded our ideas about the movie by using "voki". We created our avatars and give our Voki a voice. Some avatars were funny and surprising.

A lesson never been more engaging and fun :)

It was a great beginning for spring and March activities . We were bored with Pandemic conditions and closures but those fun activities made us feel better . In this activity we had our online karaoke party and had a great time together .We listened and sang songs in English.Some of us created videos . Karaoke has always been an exciting pastime for us but sharing this experinece in class and with other partners made it more enjoyable and memorable. ıt is one of our favourite activity in this project.

İMAM HATİP LİSESİ

In March, we organised a Listening Night with our project partners on Zoom platform.We sang songs in Turkish,English and some of our students played musical instruments.Moreover we read poems from great poets.While were were having awesome time ,we also had chance to improve our listening and speaking skills ,know more about different cultures.

In Aprıl,we created comics stories using ToonyTool Cartoons .Our school team created comics story series collaboratively ,titled "corona virus on a desert island".Our project partners also created nice and entertaining cartoons.This activity developed not only our students' creativity and imagination but also their writing skills in English.

Students had great time with tongue twisters. Videos of tongue twisters were very challenging and enjoyable.

We wrote our project poem as a collaborative work

As you see we did different activities and we had great fun while doing these activities.We use different Web 2.o Tools.These tools are also enjoyable and motivating language learning and practice tools for our students.

Thanks to these tools we can use them to collaborate across distances. Students no longer have to be in the same room at the same computer to work on this project together.
