LAST TRAIN HOME
The train moved on its tracks, slowly, but surely making its way towards wherever it was headed. The sound of rain and the groans from the people in the train mixed together in such harmony that one would have a hard time not feeling soothed by it. The people in the train mattered not. Even if they had mattered in the past, they didn’t now and wouldn’t anymore. The destination mattered not as well. Because what could they change if they knew where they were headed? What could we, the observers change? These people, or now, silhouettes, didn’t bother to look at each other. What united them in such a way, was soon going to separate them. The train stopped on its tracks and the gate behind them closed. What would happen after mattered not. This was their last train home.
One way, or another.

It was a cold dark night. I was running on the street, faster than a cheetah. After a while I heard her shouting “Come back here you monster!” I ran even faster. I knew, if she caught me, I would be done for.

ALIVE
I remember the feeling of the warm wind hitting my face, at the top of the building, thanking for everything I went through. Did I really deserve to suffer this much? I didn't know, but I didn't care anyway. I had no intention of living. I was going to do this, finally, end my pain.
I heard the sound of the crowd from below, looked at them nonchalantly, and made myself stand up. Without a doubt, I jumped from the building. I felt so alive and relaxed and I can't complain but then everything went blur.
~~~~~~~~
I heard someone saying "she’s here".
Seriously? Am I alive?
I woke up with an urge to travel. I got my car keys and hopped in my car. I drove aimlessly, but even I didn't know where I wanted to go. It was a feeling like I needed to be somewhere, But I didn't know where. Finally, I stopped in front of a thick forest. I got out of my car and could not resist the call of the forest.
DEAD BODIES
I woke up one morning in my cold dormitory full of hard beds I shared with people I knew and did not know. Today is the anniversary of my development here. But the reason today is different: The creatures that come here and plead to God will disturb me too.
WELCOME TO US
One night, she came home and she was very tired so, she decided to sleep. When she looked through the window, she saw a man who was dressed in black and she heard some voices on the way to bedroom but she didn’t care. Then she slept. When she woke up, she saw a lot of people in her house. They saw her and said:
- Welcome to us!
She was very scared.
- What are you doing in my house? If you don’t leave my house, I’ll call the cops!
Then they said:
- Your house? Are you kidding us? The dead live where they die.
The New Patient
The nurse came. She apologized for being late to today’s book reading. Why was she apologizing though? They have been telling the same story to patients for years. A true love story, whose real life heroes are unknown, that has been the topic of movies and books. She was going to start telling the story for the thousandth time when a new patient entered the nursing home. The nurse went upstairs to help him for bath time. She saw the birthmark on his hip. “You, you… you are him!”
The Disappointment
He sat to the bench where he always sat after his daily walk. Today there was another visitor. A visitor he had never seen before... She looked like she was crying. He asked:
—Do you have a problem?
—Yes, but you won’t understand that feeling.
—Which feeling?
—The feeling that happens when you disappoint someone you love more than yourself.
The feeling of disappointing someone. Someone who he loves more than himself. He stood up. He left, saying he had to go home.
FAULTS
She was out of breath. She couldn’t hear the footsteps anymore so finally she dared to look back. She slowed down and entered an alley. She was full of questions. She thought about the things that she did.
“You are disgusting!”
“Can you call yourself a human?”
“Don’t you have any conscience?”
“ You are not a human but a monster!”
Those words repeated themselves in her mind. But she didn’t even regret or feel sorry.
Last Minute Value
Wanting to take his last minutes to himself, the old man went to a park and silently watched the laughter of the children. As the old man watched them with a small smile on his face, the kittens began to come near him.
He wanted to feed these little ones with the last money he had. And he turned to them and asked the cat drinking milk:
-Why did i start to realize the value of life in my last minutes, kitty?
-Meow!
After saying that ‘’You are right, too’’, he looked at the park and the kittens for the last time with sad eyes and took his way home. He wanted to get away from here immediately because he knew that seeing these beauties at this age would sadden him.
UNKNOWN IMPULSE
Suddenly, he felt an impulse and quietly opened his eyes. He looked at the clock on his phone while he was thinking about what woke him up. At that moment, a message notification came to him. That message was from his ex who he still couldn’t forget. Just after that, he felt hungry and he decided to give priority to eating. As he left his room to go to the kitchen, he noticed the money stacks on the bedside table by the door. The lips on his sleepy face made silent grunts that showed he was surprised. His tummy rumbled and he came to the kitchen. There was a tray of his favorite pastries on the kitchen table. He couldn't stop himself and he tasted it all. He realized that he was in his bed while the morning alarm was ringing. He didn’t know when he came to his bed. He rushed into the kitchen to make sense of somethings and he came across a plateful of pastry made by his mother. He quickly went to check his phone's notifications.
Cycle of Punishment
There was once a king who ruled his lands with fear. In those lands, there was no one alive that is not terrified of him. And because he was a king, he would use his servant to do all his bad deeds.
In the dining halls of the castle, if someone is chewing their meal too loud, the servant would beat that person to death. And if someone is not even chewing their meal, the servant would also beat that person to death. That was how the system worked.
One day, in one of those halls, the king sat at the table with his servant. And only one of them got up on their own from this table, where the two were sitting.
The other, unfortunately, needed the grim reaper's help to get up.
When the grim reaper took the servant away from his body and the table, he said “Your punishment in hell is over, now let’s take you to your heaven.”
And while pointing the king, who is looking at the servant’s dead body with disgust in his eyes, reaper continued: “Where you will be this king in your new life.”
He woke up to a perfect Sunday morning, then noticed that he was alone. He decided to get up and call his mom, but he unfortunately couldn’t find his phone, and he was sure that he left it right next to his bed before sleeping at night. Then he went downstairs to check the living room, no one was home so he decided to have breakfast while waiting for his mom and dad. While he was walking to the kitchen, he heard some noises coming from his room. How could that be possible? Wasn’t he in his room 5 minutes ago? He literally walked around the whole house, it was just him. He wasn’t sure about checking his room. Few minutes later, he was curious about those noises and started climbing the stairs, he was finally in his room, and he saw a piece of paper on his bed. He was kind of scared of that, but finally felt brave enough to take the paper. There was the word ‘hello’ written with fresh blood.
