WEEK 3

Have you ever asked what the true meaning of your life? Because me, yes I did this week. Maybe some of you have their own philosophy in life that makes your life meaningful, and I'm happy for you. So let me tell you my story on how I enhance my meaningful life, but some of you might disagree with me, well I respect your thoughts. If you are interested continue reading and if not you better skip this.

Are you ready?

People knew me as a Christian who believed in God, yes I did before. I follow the will of the Lord, before. When the pandemic strikes, it became my reason (excuse) to left the church, not because I was hardly affected but because I'm so hungry for freedom, freedom from people who I thought controlling and restricting me

Because in church, the Bible is the law and manual of our lives, we have to follow what is written on that which sometimes I became skeptical and trying to question it.

In short, I run away. I left everything behind and did the works of the world. I feel good, I feel I'm finally free, I feel contented. The life that no one will restrict me, the life where I can freely be me without considering the standard of being a Christian. I don't need to attend church gatherings, I don't need to read the Bible every day, I don't need to give tithes, I don't need to attend my Sunday class. Less work, and more time to do other things that I want to do and try things that I never tried.

I am living my life, but something is missing. 

Yes, I feel free, happy, and contented, but it feels all temporary. 

The life I thought would bring me the freedom I am searching, was the life that imprisoned me from fear, uncertainty, stress, lack of direction, emptiness, and lack of purpose. I wore the chain of false freedom that this world offers. 

In short, I came back to the presence of the Lord. Even, my life is good enough, but it is lacking. I need an enhancer; thus, I need Lord. The Lord who shows me who I am, the Lord who redeemed me, set me free from the prison I have been in, who gives me confidence and takes away all my doubts. The Lord that I know gives me the true love, happiness, and freedom I aim for. Permanently.

I would say that I have a modern view about Supernaturalism philosophy where God serves as the enhancer of life, but not literally the necessity to live. We can live without the Lord our God, but we have a choice, whether to have God to help you enhance your life or not and live your life as it is. 

I choose to live life with the God I believed in for me to have a sense of direction and purpose.
