Pandemic has highlighted the vulnerability of Filipinos in the aspect of finance. Also, inflation is an inevitable phenomena that consumes the people over time making it harder for them to thrive economically.

I believe that it is very crucial for the Filipino youths to be financially literate in this VUCA world. 

I also believe that financial literacy is not for the wealthy people alone, but it is for all.

Growing up, I used to work for my "wants." If I want a bike, I had to work for it. If I want a pair of shoes, I had to work for it. Or at least wait for my mom until she puts it in her priority list in the budget.

In this sense, I saw how hard to acquire money in this economic set up, and how money is being easily spent due to unending wants and needs.

The pandemic had magnified the need to understand how money works, how to protect it from inflation, and how to operate a system that will generate money and will help you in the future.

On the value of being responsible on finances and any resources that are being used for a living, I finally decided to invest in cryptocurrencies. Well, cryptos are the future, soon any physical traditional currency will be phased out. 

As I said, I had to work for anything that I want. And so I pulled out side hustles and eventually earned myself 5k. I put it directly to cryptocurrency trading.

I am on the blockchain now!

I am not born in a rich family, but it does not mean that I had to be broke and tormented between debts, loans, and mortgages. I can't count on government already, though making them accountable is a must but I wont discuss it here. Not on this topic.

People had discovered ways to make money work for you, to have a hedge fund over inflation, and to be secured financially at all times. So if it is the reality, why I would not jump in to that kind of stuff?

Lastly, life emergency is not a matter of "if," it is a matter of "when." So I better be prepared.
