''Granny, tell us the story of the forest, please!'' she begged her grandmother. Her sister said ''Please Granny, I want to hear about it too.'' Grandmother Giana sighed ''Alright my dears, I will tell you the story again.'' ''Hurray! You are the best Granny in the world!'' So their Grandmother Giana started telling the story again as the girls listening carefully in excitement.

''Next to our town Lilyherd, there is an enormous forest named THE UNKNOWN FOREST. Every night a peaceful flute melody comes from the forest. Some brave people from this town went into the forest many times to find out where does it come from, but none of them were able to come back. Everyone thinks this forest was cursed by some witches, but I think a fairy in that forest always plays her flute every night to make the trees happy...''
That girl with a white dress is Maryanna, next to her is her sister Melrose. Their grandmother Giana goes to their house once a week and tells them a story about monsters, brave princesses, gigantic plants and more... But their favourite story is always ''Fairy Of The Forest''. It was about a fairy who lives in the forest next to their town Lilyherd.

The fact about that strange melody of a flute was real. Also, the people who went into the forest and never returned were true. But their Granny had told them that the fairy is just a prediction. Still, Maryanna and Melrose believe that the story is real. They wonder about that forest and want to go there. But their parents wouldn't allow them to go in there alone, especially to Melrose.

Maryanna thought about it for days. One day, it was bedtime, she couldn't sleep until midnight. When the clock strikes 12, she looked at her sister sleeping next to her. Then she slowly got up, get dressed and packed her backpack. At that moment when she was ready, a voice asked ''Where are you going, sis?'' Maryanna was shocked, turned around and there her sister Melrose was staring at her.
