*Chapter 1*

  A fun-filled day with Shield

Once upon a time there lived a dog named Shield. He was a Golden Retriever Corgi. He was a loyal, brave and kind dog. He loved food especially chicken. Shield had a loveable family who cared about him a lot. One of Shield's favourite place to be was the lawn. He loved to see the birds flying and chirping in the sky. Sometimes if he was hyper, he used to chase the birds.

One day when Shield was chasing a few birds, he saw something amongst the shrubs. It was something black with golden eyes! Shield felt scared right away and started barking. The creature got scared and started growling."Woof Woof!" Shield barked.The creature got more scared so it went out of the shrub and showed itself. It was a cat!

As you know dogs like to chase cats and that was exactly what happened though he didn't do it for fun, he did it because for Shield, cats were his enemies. 

The cat got very scared and jumped over the walls and ran away. Shield came back in the house. Shield was really proud of himself for scaring the cat but he got a bit terrified himself when the cat was hiding. Although, he was glad he scared the cat. He went to his cage and took a nap. 

The next hour he woke up it was dinner and he got to have his favourite chicken! When Shield was done with his dinner he walked to his cage and got one of his favourite toy. It was a ball with a picture of Captain America on it. Shield played with it but the ball rolled down the stairs.  

Shield saw his friend Aarya coming up the stairs. Aarya was a young pretty girl who loved Shield. Her parents had gifted Shield to Aarya when she was 8 years old.  She spotted her dog's ball, picked the ball and came up the stairs to play with Shield."Fetch!" Aarya said. Shield ran after the ball and caught it. He ran back to give Aarya the ball. He ran back to give Aarya the ball. After a few rounds, "Shield, I have to now brush my teeth now. I will brush my teeth then we can keep on playing."said Aarya. 

Aarya went to the washroom and started to brush. Shield left the ball and ran downstairs. 

Shield went to the TV room and jumped on the sofa.  On the sofa there was Aarya's mom. Shield really liked mom though she kept on calling him funny names that didn't even make sense! She was watching something on her phone. Shield peered towards her phone. Shield did not understand a single word from the video, mom was watching. The only word he understood was sit so he sat there, doing nothing.

Mom got up and went upstairs. Shield still sat there waiting for Aarya to come down. Aarya came down and started the TV, she watched a movie about dogs. Shield was quite happy about that. 

After 30 minutes,  “Come up now, you watched a lot!"called mom. "Coming!" Aarya replied. Aarya turned the TV off and switched off all the lights. She went upstairs. Shield followed. Shield went to his room ,drank some water, walked to his cage and in a blink of an eye, he was fast asleep.

*Chapter 2*

An adventurous day with Shield and his friends 

One sunny morning, Shield woke up in his own dog bed in his cage. He could feel the warmness of the sun's light shining on his fur. He slowly got up and sat there waiting for someone  to open the cage. Mom came and opened the cage. Shield went out and fell on his back waiting for a tummy rub. Mom rubbed his tummy. Aarya  came and gave him some food. After Aarya and mom ate food, mom got his leash. 

Shield wondered where he, Aarya and m was going. They went into the car.  Shield sat at the back seat with Aarya. Soon after, they reached a place were there were many other dogs including Huskies, Corgis, Labradors and more! There were trees everywhere! There lots of sticks and there was a sand pit too!
