Like all towns 87svill had a backstory, it was a tale of triumph and victory, but also a tale of loss. And a tale that has been told for centuries. Some people say that the tale is just a legend, a myth, but those people are wrong for what I'm about to tell you is a true story that everyone who knows about 87svill thinks about. A tale that everyone who visits 87svill knows is a tale that completely changed the life of one man. A tale that once you hear it you know you will never forget.

 It was a warm summer day and Edd.E.Seven was waking up from a good night's sleep. Edd was a humble farmer who lived in a town called Colevill. Which was named after Cole Swartsanager, a man who while looking for food stumbled upon an unclaimed piece of land and decided to start a civilization there. Colevill was pretty new, for it was only 10 years old. And soon the citizens of Colevill would be celebrating its tenth anniversary. Edd personally knew Cole for in fact Cole was Edds uncle, yes Cole was Edd´s mom's brother. So Edd was helping him plan the anniversary party for the town. Edd was only 8 at the time and 9 years ago his family moved to Colevill. 

As Edd was helping his uncle Cole set up the decorations when he asked a question that he's been wondering about for a long time but was never able to quit to build up the courage to ask. Edd said  ¨hey uncle Cole, do you know where my dad went?¨ Edds dad when Edd was only 4 years old had to leave and Edd never asked where he had to leave until this day, ¨ Umm...¨ said Cole, ¨ Your dad, when he was younger, used to hang out with the wrong people and those people used to vandalize buildings, one day your dad and his group of friends vandalized a national monument and got put in jail for a long time, they are still there to this day.”  Edd was sad to learn his dad was in jail, but he was glad to finally have an answer about the whereabouts of his dad. Both of them didn't say a word for the rest of the time they were decorating. 

Later that night Edd heard his Mom and Cole talking. They were whispering but Edd's mom was not a good whisperer, ¨ Cole, why did you tell little Eddy about his father?! You know I didn't want him to find out until he was older! ¨ Edds Mom whispered . ¨ Sandra, ¨ (Sandra was Edds mom's name ) ¨I told Edd that His father was in prison not the real thing¨ Cole replied calmly. Edds mom calmed down. 

¨ Alright as long as he doesn't know the truth. I don't want to upset him too much, but couldn't you have thought of a better excuse, like that his dad is in the Army?¨  

¨  It came out of nowhere I was put on the spot I didn't have enough time to think of a better excuse¨

Edd was extremely confused about what could be worse than prison, but Edd wanted to find out, no he thought to himself he needed to find out, he was going to find out. Edd was determined and he decided to try to find the answer himself, he thought as he slowly fell asleep.

    The next morning Edd woke up determined and thought about what he should do, at first he wanted to ask his Mom or his Uncle about the conversation he overheard, but he decided that that would not be a

good idea for two reasons, number 1 being that he did not want his Mom to think that he was purposely listening in on the conversation, and number 2 being that he was pretty sure that they would deny everything or get mad and have whatever happened to his father happen to him. As Edd sat in his room trying to figure out a good way to find out what happened to his dad an idea came to him. Literally a brown hawk with green eyes that's feathers look like they were lined in gold, flew to his room's window with a rolled-up piece of paper tied to its leg. Edd confused opened his window and the hawk flew in. As Edd untied the twine that was keeping the rolled up piece of paper tied to this hawks leg, the hawk turned its head and looked directly into Edds's eyes, it felt like the hawk was looking into his soul, Edd felt like the hawk was the embodiment of mother nature, he felt like that somehow he was connected to this bird.

When Edd finished untying the twine that held the note he read it the note said “ To find the answer to where your father is, go to the river at midnight on tomorrow. And keep Earth as a token of my appreciation.  Sincerely - F ” , “Oh.” Edd looked at the bird who was plucking out a feather “ you must be Earth.” Earth the hawk looks back at Edd. “ Squawk,” Earth replied. Edd chuckled, “ I'm taking that as a yes”. Edd turned his attention back to the note. “ Sincerely - F” Edd mumbled. Who could F be? Edd wondenderd. Just then his Mom came into his room “ AHHH!!” Edds Mom yelled when seeing Earth. Edd quickly said “ Her name is Earth, may I keep her please? Edd begged. “Earth… Earth. What an interesting name. Ok you may keep her but you must take care of her and get her a proper cage. And the money for the cage is coming out of your pocket young man!” Edds Mom replied. Edd was shrieking in joy, “ YAY!!! Thanks Mom. Thanks so much! YAY!!” 

Edd was dancing around the room in happiness. “Squawk,” Earth said.

Edds mom said that he has to buy the cage, food, toys, e.c.t that day. So Edd and his Mom went to the pet store to get the supplies. They were walking the aisles of the store “ Pets, Pets, Pets” looking for a good cage. Edds Mom was in the aisle next to the aisle where Edd was, when he saw a lady wearing a black robe that was so long the bottom was dragging across the floor and the part of the robe that was touching the floors was torn apart and very lightly faded. She had long black hair that went to her waist. She seemed pretty young about the age of 20, and she was so pale that it looked like her face was painted white. She had long eyelashes,  her eyes were red and they had dark rings around them, her lipstick was bright red. The lady was beautiful but scary at the same time, as she walked down the aisle Edd could see her .

long fingernails painted black and they were very sharp, when she was at the area were Edd was she didn't look at him she was looking straight forward, she stopped walking and still looking forward and  she said, “ Do not trust  F because even though his gifts are real he is not so remember do not trust F, for he is only trouble. Beware, young man, and take good care of Earth; she will come in handy later on. Trust me.” and she walked away. Edd called out “ Wait, who are you ? What's your name” but by then she was already gone, as if she had disappeared

Edd went to tell his mom about the lady but he didn't. He didn't know why but he felt like he shouldn't, so he didn’t. Edds mom found a nice big cage , good healthy bird food, a bird water bottle, and some toys. When they got home Edds Mom called Cole asking him to help Edd set up the bird cage. When Cole arrived he said to Edd “ So, you got a bird. You know that's a big responsibility for a little guy like yourself ``''I know uncle Cole but I'm ready I just know it”  Cole was examining the bird, “ what's your bird's name.” Cole said. “ Her name is Earth.” Coles frowned but at the same time looked interested, he mumbled to himself, “ Earth…. Earth. No it can’t be there's no way F finally found how to do that. No, Earth is just a bird… just a bird.” he sounded like he was reassuring himself. Edd didn’t know who F was or why everyone is shocked that his hawk's name is Earth. 

 He wanted to find answers but he instead found more questions. He now was really curious about what was going on, he wanted to know about where his dad really was, who was F, and why is everyone shocked when they hear Earth’s name. Cole and Edd finished setting up Earth's cage, and they let her in. She hopped around, climbed on a bar, and pecked at a toy, “ Squawk” Earth approved.

Edd really wanted to know what was going on and he thought the only lead he has about it is going to the river. So Edd set his alarm to 11:30 so he would have time to go to the river. He said good night to his Mom, and went to bed. When he woke up he got dressed, put on his jeans, a t-shirt and opened Earth's cage and put on a protective  

glove. Earth jumped on him and perched on his glove. Edd even put on the same material as the protective glove but a jacket made out of it. Earth moved to his shoulder and just like that Edd was ready. As he walked out his front door he was worried about the warning the lady in the store gave him. What if the message F sent was a trap. Edd wasn't sure so he sent Earth to fly up and see if the river was good. When Earth came back down and landed on his arm she looked at him and squawked in a way as if she was saying all clear. So Edd went to the river and just as he was about to go searching he was stopped by the lady he saw in the pet store. She said “ I told you not to go here, I told you that F was the only danger” she was staring right at him. She seemed much more scary then. “ Why didn't you listen, you are putting your life in danger.” She looked at Edd like she wanted a response.
