This is a picture of my father, Kuttiyil Abraham Verghese. He is the best 

father in the whole world.

My father was born 

on September 15, 

1970, in Calcutta 

(Kolkata), India. His 

family is from the 

beautiful state of 

Kerela. He has two 

brothers.

My father studied in Calcutta. He 

was very good in his studies and 

had topped the Grade 12 

Commerce exam. He went on to 

complete the Bachelors Degree in 

Calcutta and cleared CA 

(Chartered Accountant) exams 

and Cost Accountants Exams too

Papa has lots of friends and loves to party and entertain

My father is and always was very good at sports. He likes to 

play sports such as soccer, cricket, tennis, badminton, 

swimming, hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, and table 

tennis.

My father   is a very good singer too. This is a picture of him with his church 

choir.

My father married my mother, Shanti Chitlangia, on August 18, 1997. They met in 

Calcutta while studying for CA exam. They both are now very successful accountants. 

They love each other a lot and are always happy together.

My father is very successful in his 

profession too. He has completed   CPA 

exams in the US. He worked in companies 

like Anderson, PWC, and Oracle. He is 

currently working with Cognizant 

Technologies in New Jersey, USA.

On May 26, 

2000, I (Ashwin 

Verghese) was 

born to my 

father and 

mother in 

Chennai, India.

I Ashwin, was born to 

my parents on May 26, 

2000 in Chennai India.

Papa would do all fun things with me and would always keep me Happy

He takes me to the parks, plays cricket, soccer and tennis and 

other sports too.

He also used to teach me and still helps me a lot with my 

homework.

Soon we moved to Australia because of my 

father's new job.

He couldn't stay away from me and wanted to take me   to his office so that I can 

be with him always.

On January 8, 2004 in 

Sydney, Australia, my 

younger brother (Ankit 

Verghese) was born.

Anku made our family 

complete and I have my 

best friend in him for 

ever.

Soon, we moved to Sunnyvale, California in USA

In California, my father first 

worked for PWC for 2 years. 

Then, he switched jobs and 

joined Oracle. He soon 

became senior director in his 

office.

We used to have a lot of fun time as a family together.

Its always is a party time for us when Papa is around.

We often go for fun activities like camping or to theme 

parks during weekends.

We love to swim a lot too and are in the 

pool whenever the weather permits.
