I'm Mikey and I'm a twenty pound mouse.
The folks at the cheese factory love my owner
because she buys cheese all the time.

When I was younger, my mom gave me all
the cheese I wanted to eat in the world.

One day out of the blue, my mother never
returned. I was alone for a while. Until one
day, I found my new owner, Lucy, taking a
stroll in the park. She picked me up and took
me to her home.

She loves me. I love her. We are one big
happy family, literally. We share a strong
bond... for cheese.

Lucy's mom despises mice especially me
because all I do is chow down and rest up for
my next meal.

I am a bottomless pit. I don't get full often
but when I do the rest of the time I dream of
wonderful, wonderful cheese!

Bright and early the next morning, I smelled
bacon.

I thought to myself, "I must investigate!" I
crawl into my hamster ball and briskly went
down my slide that leads me safely to the
floor.

I swiftly tumble down the stairs in pursuit of
the smell of bacon.

I follow the smell of bacon into the kitchen and
roll to the chair where I find Lucy sitting.

Lucy is pleasantly surprised by my arrival and
quickly releases me from my hamster ball.

She hoists me up with all her might. She
places me on her plate so I can devour all of
the bacon.

After I finish eating, she gently lowers me into
my cleaning bowl. Splish! Splash! I'm all
clean and ready for the day to begin.

Lucy puts me back in my ball and carries me
to my cage that is filled with my favorite
cheese.

I jump out of the ball and gobble down all of
the yummy cheese.

Lucy leaves to go to her first day of school. I
am all alone. I think to myself, "Whatever
shall I do? However shall I eat?"

To my surprise, Lucy's mom comes into the
room. She has a mean grin on her face.

She grabs me and carries me downstairs. I
start to get fidgety but her grip is too strong to
break free.

She opens the front door and throws me into
the grass. I scurry away and find a hiding
place under a bush where I wait anxiously for
Lucy to get home. Lucy couldn't have come
soon enough, as I hear the squeaky bus
wheels come to a halt.

Lucy eagerly jumps out of the bus. As Lucy
approaches the front door, her mother was
standing in the doorway with her arms
crossed. She had a somewhat gloomy look on
her face. I heard her say "I'm sorry Lucy,
Mikey was not in his cage when I went
upstairs." Her mother acts sad as she looks
towards the ground.
