- Michelle M. Charles

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Cleo.

Cleo was a very adventurous cat.
She lived in London and loved to go out to explore the busy streets where people went shopping.

One day, Cleo heard her family talking about their summer holiday plans.
They were preparing to fly to New York, in the United States, to spend two weeks getting to know the city.
They were thinking about moving there.

Cleo became worried when she heard the news.
She wondered what her family was planning to do with her while they were away.
She wondered if they were going to come back for her.

But, before she could worry too much, Cleo heard something that made her smile.
Her family had decided to take her with them!
They wanted to try living in New York just like the New Yorkers did. They didn't want to travel as tourists.
So, they decided that Cleo was going to travel with them, as a part of the family, in order to fully experience the stay.

Cleo became excited when she heard the news that she would be travelling to New York with her family. New York was a big city - just like London! There would be so much to explore!
Now, Cleo wanted to learn everything that she could about life in the United States.
She ran across the room to the study where she could start reading about her next adventure.
