There were once three families who lived in an apartment building in the city. The simon family lived on the first floor. The Peters family lived on the second floor. The Jackson family lived on the third floor. They all got along fine, until one day when the peters visited the simons. The peters said ``Have you noticed that the Jackson family on the thrid floor always uses the elevator when other`s need it? we thought you might want to know.'' ``Thanks a lot! we`ll be watching.'' said the simon family on the first floor.

The next day the peters family visited the Jackson family on the third floor. ``Have you noticed how simon family on the first floor blocks the hall with thier garbage? It smells up the buliding and is a health hazard!'' We thought you might want to know .'' `` Thanks a lot ! we`ll be watching. said the Jackson family. ``What if we couldn`t use the elevator ? said the simon family. ``What if we tripped over the garbage in the hall''. Neither of the family wanted to cause any trouble so they stopped saying hello to each other.

What no one knew was that each night the peters child from the second floor  rode the elevator up and down the apartment building so no one else could use it. He did this after he put his family grabage in the hall. He thought it was too dark and scary to go outside and put it in garabge can. Then one day the peters family moved away. the simons met the Jacksons in front of the peters vacanct apartment.`` How could people be selfish and use elevator like you so''? said the simons ``Why, my family would never think of doing such a thing '', said the Jacksons. ``We have been walking up three flights 

up recently !'' `` We would like to know why your family always leaves garabge in the hall. It smells up everything '', said the Jacksons. ``Why , we would we do such a thing '', said the simons `` We are tired tired of taking out the garbge twice !'' they added `` mabe the peters aren`t telling the truth after all'' . `` mabe the peters were gossping about us! said the Jacksons `` Goodbye to troble!'' they all laughed and became trusting friends.
