Chapter 1

A New Day

    As Gloria Wraith rose up out of bed, she thought, Really? A rainy day on my BIRTHDAY!? I wish I had a weather-wand. She thought things like this regularly. One day, she had a really bad day, and wished she had a day resetter. Then, she wished she had an automatic-hair-brusher for her golden-brown hair. After that wish, she wished for a magical tanner for her pale skin. No matter how long Gloria spent in the sun, her skin never tanned. She finally put those wishes to the back of her mind and got out of bed. She heads for her brown magic closet, which she got for her birthday last year. She just chucks her clothes in the ‘morning clothes’ drawer and chucks her pajamas in her ‘pajamas’ drawer. She then walks into her closet, says either “Morning,” or “Night,” And the closet automatically dresses her in seconds. This includes brushing her teeth, but not her hair. Sadly, she has to brush her hair herself. After brushing her hair, Gloria went downstairs in her beautiful blue dress with gold trimmings.

    “Morning, dear,” says her mother, Queen Charity. Though her name was Charity, she lived up to her last name more, Wraith. “I made you your favorite breakfast!” Gloria heads over to her spot at the table. It was her favorite breakfast when she was like, 6. She’s 12 now.  The breakfast was eggs and bacon. She wished that she didn’t have to deal with her family today. They embarrassed her in front of everybody all the time. She wished she could just get away from everyone, at least for today.

    “Diiiiing! Ding ding,” went the doorbell. Charity got up and answered it. “Hello,” said the newcomer, “Remember me, Gloria? From last year?”  Gloria did remember him, how could she not? He was the wizard that gave her the Magical Auto-Dresser. His name was Unior. Today we was dressed in Midnight-Blue robes with a sun in the center.  “I am here to give you a birthday present,” he said, violet eyes sparkling in his tanned face. 

    “Oh?” said Gloria, “What is it? Where is it?”

    “It's called the Eternal Star,” said Unior, “It goes along with the Chest of Unending Summoning. The chest has the instructions in it, along with the star. Here is the Chest.” Unior starts casting a spell, and a hovering chest popped into existence. “There You go! Happy birthday Gloria!”

    Gloria studied the chest. “It doesn’t look that special,” She said. The chest looked like a basic wooden chest with a hole in the back.

    “Oh, wait until you put the star in the hole in the back,” said Unior, “Then it’ll look special!”

    “Ok,” Gloria said, “If you say so.” Gloria dragged the chest up to her room, and opened it. There was a piece of paper and a pink crystal. She picked up the instructions and read them. They read, “Place the Eternal Star in the slot in the back of the Chest of Unending Summoning, lining it up. Then, you will be transported to a world where you are the only human, and you have all the physical things you could ever want! They would all come out of the chest as you imagine them. And when you are done with something, just put it back in the chest!”

    That sounds nice, Gloria  thought, but I love my parents, I can’t just abandon them. Maybe I can freeze time here while I visit that world. Then when I want to come back, I unfreeze time, and come back here! Plus, I could have all my wishes come true!  She was so exited, Gloria threw the paper to the side, grabbed the Eternal Star and threw it into the hole. It fit perfectly! Suddenly, all started to fade to black. Fear gripped her heart so hard, she thought it might pop! Oh, no! What have I done wrong?

                                                 Chapter 2

                                                        A New World

 Gloria felt infinitely cold, and yet infinitely hot at the same time. She reached for where the chest was. Good, it’s still there, Gloria thought, Now, what happened?  She suddenly remembered, she was the only person here. That she would be transported to a whole new world. Hmmm… Maybe… Think planet, think planet, think planet! Gloria thought of the perfect world for her, lots of talking animals and plants, with the sun smiling and the wind whispering. She thought she heard a pling from the chest, and then she opened the chest. When Gloria did so, a giant planet popped out of the chest and pulled her in! She landed in a tree, fell through, hit the ground, rolled, stood up unhurt, and looked up, or the direction she thought was up. The sky was still dark. Hmm… Maybe I need to make the sun!  Gloria thought of a sun, opened the chest, and there it was; a tiny glowing ball in the chest. She picked it up, and threw it into the sky! The sun was smiling there, literally smiling, in the now blue sky! She didn’t like the smiling sun, so she called it down and quickly replaced the sun for a normal one. That’s better, she thought when she looked up. She made it so you can look at it without hurting your eyes. 

    “Who are you?” Gloria jumped at the voice! It was faint and high pitched. She thought she was the only human here! Did she accidentally make some people? She looked around. There was no one around other than a bluebird. “Are you the one that made me?” asked the BLUEBIRD. 

    “Uh-How-Huh?” stammered Gloria, “Umm…”  Then she remembered about the thought about talking animals! “Yes! I am your creator!”

    “Ooh! So queen of Vonton!”  exclaimed the bluebird.

    “What’s Vonton,” asked Gloria, “Also, my name is Gloria.”

    “Vonton is this planet. Didn’t you know?”

    “No. How was I supposed to know?”

    “I thought you named this planet.”

    Gloria was very confused. “No, I just designed the planet, I didn’t name it yet.”

    The bluebird looked very confused. “Huh, I guess you can name it now.”

    Gloria thought for a moment. Terce? No… Pragri? No…  She finally decided. “I don’t have a better idea. Vonton is fine. I think it’s a pretty name.”

    The bluebird suddenly called out, “ALL HAIL QUEEN GLORIA OF VONTON!” Animals of all sizes come up to the bluebird, including dinosaurs like a T-Rex, velociraptor, and triceratopses. There are even some creatures that she has never seen before, such as a tiny, four legged, wingless birds that were all different colors! She didn’t imagine that DINOSAURS or CREATURES THAT NEVER EXISTED ANYWHERE on this planet.

    Gloria looked at the bluebird puzzled, “Why are there dinosaurs and unknown creatures here?”

    “You basically made Earth from the time of dinosaurs. The unknown creatures are called Sihs. They were the very first creature on Earth, even the dinosaurs respect them! The sad part is, they went extinct on day 3 of the Triassic Period, and their bones and skin don’t save well…”

    Gloria was surprised. “Shouldn’t there be some trace of them?

    “I guess so, but the scientists might have thought its imprint was a dinosaur imprint. Or they kept it secret. Anyway, you can prevent the Sihs from going extinct here! This is your world.”

    Gloria never thought of that. She thought of the Sihs never going extinct, opened the chest, and hundreds, maybe even thousands, of Sihs of different colors came flying out of the chest! It was like a feathery rainbow! It was beautiful! Next, she decided she needed shelter. She summoned a treehouse, and the treehouse came with a tree! The tree hovered above the chest, floated to the side, and planted itself in the ground next to the chest. Next, she tried to summon a new species, just to see the extent of the Chest’s power. They were a tiny, humanoid species with an alligator head, an armadillo shell, some bat wings, a triceratops tail, and raptor legs and arms. The neck is snake-like, and it has a pteranodon-like crest on its head.

    “Oooh,” went the bluebird, “What are you gonna call it?”

    “Hmmmm…” Gloria thought for a minute, “How about a Dastevio?”

    “Too dark.”

    “Phoho?”

    “Nah. Sounds too much like photo. We might get confused.”

    “Hmmmm… Eacoryl?”

    “Ooh! I like it! Eacoryl it is!”

    The Eacoryl looks like it likes it, so Gloria makes more Eacoryls. 

    The Eacoryls immediately start making groups of about 15. Gloria somehow knew the relationships and genders of the Eacoryls. In each group of Eacoryls there were 3 related males, and 12 females. Gloria ignored her odd knowledge for now. “Hey, bluebird,” she started.

    “My name is Archara,” interrupted the bluebird.

    “Right.. Archara? How do you know so much?”

    “What do you mean?”

    “You know. Like when I summoned the sihs? You said they went extinct? That the scientists might be hiding their existence?”

    “Oh. I guess I haven’t told you yet. I’m basically a bluebird with the consciousness of the previous user of the Chest.” 

    Gloria was astonished! “You’re what now? The consciousness of the previous user!?”

    “Yes. When you leave, you leave some of your consciousness here in the form of nothingness. But, when the next animal is summoned, your consciousness takes the form of that animal. You don’t feel it, but you’re eternally connected here in the Eternal Star. Speaking of which, how did you get the Eternal Star and the Chest of Unending Summoning around the same time? I sense the memories of them seeing you at the same time.”

    “A wizard named Unior gave it to me for my birthday.”

    “Oh… Unior…” Archara had a hint of malice in her voice, “Unior is the worst…”

    “How come?” Gloria was confused, “He’s a good person.”

    “Unior is trying to take over the kingdom. He probably cursed the chest so you can’t go back, you can’t summon your parents or friends here, and/or you can’t summon anything close to a human. I am the only thing for actual comfort here. Unior is probably king by now, and your parents are probably locked up.
