What have we already done?

Polish poetry & students from Portugal

Collaboration with the Polish Medical Mission for Aslam, a boy in a refugee camp

Each of us could make a feather - scan it and send it in, and then students from Dąbrówka arranged wings from them, which also visited the Faculty of Biology at UAM and helped collect for Aslam.

Our collection was reported in the media.

Our field activities took place in a nearby park. We tagged several species of birds, used the BIRDnet app, and used various knowledge sources. It was very active! :)

We went to analyze the water quality of the Coina river in Portugal and also the water in the lake at Mata da Machada. We had to collect water from the lake with the help of a remote-controlled boat.
We found invasive species and identified them too. We observe the species of birds that are found in the environmental education center.

Our field activities were in the garden near school.

We observed birds in our area and surfed the Net to find out more information about common birds in our region and how to take care of them in winter.

We also learnt how to take care of birds in winter:

- Furnish your bird houses;

- Put out high-energy foods;

- Scatter seed in sheltered places;

- Make a windbreak;

- Keep extra feeders for use in bad weather;

- Make sure seed is accessible and dry.

We used Quiver App to make our drawings of birds alive.

We learnt about types of nests, spoke about bird pets  and made some drawings of birds.

Our field activities were in the Atatürk forest . We saw storks migrade .

We observed birds in our area and surfed the Net to find out more information about common birds in İstanbul .We drew bird featers and sent them to  Poland team.We talked about how to take care of  birds in winter.
