You can't cross the Appalachian MountainsBritain wanted to prevent anymore wars with the
Native Americans by not allowing the colonists not
to pass the Appalachian Mountains, but they
ignored and went anyway. I would feel like I am a
servant and Britain was my owner.

Sugar ActThis happened on April 5, 1764.The colonists
were forced to pay higher prices for the sugar
then what they were paying. They had to pay
six pence per gallon of sugar. One of the
colonists had an idea to avoid paying these
taxes so they don't pay at all. Britain's idea
went downhill and they were losing money. I
would have joined them and not buy anything
from the foreigners.

The Stamp ActThe date of this event was March 22, 1765, the
day the British Parliament decided to force all
the colonists to have stamps on all printed
material and forced to pay taxes for the
stamps. This angered the colonists, they ended
up denying the payment and were getting
arrested for doing so. I wouldn't give Britain a
single dime, in fact I would complain to King
George.
The Quartering ActThis day took place on March 24, 1765, the
colonists were forced to put British soldiers up
in their houses. They were supposed to provide
them with fuel, candles, beer, and
transportation which angered them. If I was
one of the colonists I would kick them out and
tell them that just because Britain passes a law
that doesn't mean New England has to follow
it.

The Town shed ActsOn June 29, 1767, the Priminister of New
England helped the colonists with a plan that
the British wouldn't notice that they aren't
paying taxes. The colonists ended up starting a
boycott over British goods. I would join in and
would feel proud for standing up for what I
believe in.

This happened on March 5, 1770, in the middle
of the night, British troops were walking down
the streets of Boston late at night and five
young colonists were throwing snowballs at the
soldiers and the they didn't hesitate and shot
the five colonists in the face. After they were
killed, the other colonists ran the troops out of
town. I would have grabbed a gun and join in
on the massacre.
The Boston Massacre

The Boston Tea PartyIn 1773, the colonists were forced to accept
tea imports from Britain and pay the taxes.
This angered them which ended up in the
colonists dumping the tea in the Boston
Harbor. Other British ships came in but the
colonists sunk them. The colonists were done
following Britain and their rules. Paul Revere
was trying to warn them but he got caught and
arrested. John Hancock and Samuel Adams
warned them without getting caught. The
people of Boston were cheering for the
colonists at the harbor. I would have offered
my help and dump as much tea as I could into
the harbor.

The First Continental CongressA meeting was being held in Philadelphia, John
Adams, Samuel Adams were attending. George
Washington and John Henry also attended.
They decided that imports and exports from
England to Boston will stop and to any other
colony. I would have gone and told them what
my thoughts are about Britain taking control of
our lives.
