Proclamation Line of 1763On October 7, 1763 Britain won the war against France
and the Indians and won land west of the colonies.
Britain didn't let people settle in the new land. Britain
only allowed the colonist settle east of the Appalachian
mountains. Britain was trying to keep more control over
the colonies and sent more troops. This angered the
colonist and they continued to move west. This help lead
people to move west and expand and gain more freedom
from britain. I felt like this was unfair because they
fought for the land and now britain is taking the land
away.

On April 5, 1764 Britain wanted to tax sugar
because many people started smuggling sugar into
the colonies and Britain needed money to pay of
some of the debt the war gave them. This caused the
colonies to be even more angered because they
didn't have the right to tax because they didn't have
a representatives in Parliament. Many of the colonist
were starting to think that britain was trying to keep
the colonist more restricted. I think the colonist
would be able to take the tax if britain asked them
about it. This brought more of rebel to britain.
Sugar Act

Quartering ActOn March 22, 1765 Britain forced the colonist
to home soldier and provide for their need to
save money and put expenses on the colonist.
Most colonist disagreed with the act and
thought that they were trying to spy on them.
Lots of the colonist thought it was unfair
because some didn't have money to spend on
the soldiers every need. This made the colonist
think that britain was trying to control them in
every way. I think britain was wrong for
putting random soldiers in peoples homes.

Stamp ActOn March 24, 1765 Britain needed to pay off some of
war debt so they created the stamp act. This put tax on
most printed material, attempt to assert control over
the colonies and made colonist buy stamp to prove that
they paid tax. The act made colonist mad and they
started boycotting british goods and they demanded
that parliament repel this new law. This contributed to
the road to revolution by the amounts of tax that britain
gave the colonist that they started boycotting their
goods. I think this was just another way to to keep the
colonist under control but britain just made the colonist
even angrier

Townshend actOn June 29, 1767 britain made the townshend which put
an indirect tax on imports and it suspended NY meeting
until the quartering act was obeyed. This caused
angered colonist to stop buying british goods and many
fights between colonist and soldiers. The townshend act
created lots of anger in the colonies. This contributed by
making colonist rebel from britain. I think that britain
went to far with the townshend act and the colonist have
the right to be mad about it.

Boston massacre On march 5, 1770 colonist started abusing soldiers by
throwing snowballs at them, the soldiers felt threatened
and fired into the crowed. They killed 5 and wounded
many. Many colonist demanded justice, britain agreed,
they trialed the soldiers back in britain.
MANY colonist now too angry to even try to work with
england. This led to lots of colonist not even wanting to
do anything with england. i think that this was an awful
thing the soldiers did.

Boston Tea PartyOn may 1773 Samuel Adams and others dressed as
Mohawks and dumped tea into the harbor as the colonist
watched in approval. This led to the intolerable act to
punish the colonist. This showed that the colonist were
rebelling england and made a big turn of the starting of
the revolution. I think that the colonist had the right to
protest and dump the tea, but now they have to pay the
price.
