Proclamation Line of 1763
1763The Proclamation Line of 1763 is when Great Britain forbade the
colonists to cross the Appalachian Mountains, which served as the
line, and settle in the land they previously conquered from France
because they couldn't protect the colonists from attack, and
couldn't collect tax from them. The colonists got mad because they
couldn't go to a land that they owned, and a lot of people were
moving to the new world.
If I was a colonist while this happened I would have got angry
because there is free space which no one is using, and Great Britain
wont let me pass just cause they cant collect taxes from me. And I
would go with the other colonists to go the new land anyway.

No one shall pass

We will go anyway!
Sugar Act
1764The Sugar Act was when Great Britain put a 3 cent tax
on foreign imports such as sugar, coffee, indigo, and
certain types of wine. It was the first act passed by the
British which only intention was to get money. Most
Colonists were angry that the British Government took
action without permission. They didn't like that they
were being controlled by the British. They had to pay
extra for some thing that was less money.
If I was a colonist while the British did this, I would be
one of the angered colonists and rebel against the King
of Britain.

Quartering Act
1765The Quartering Act of 1765 required the colonies to provide
barracks and supplies to British troops. They had to allow a
soldier to stay in their house and they had to provide them
beer, food, and transportation for the soldier .It also
required the colonies to provide barracks and supplies to
British troops. The British forced the colonist to accept it
because they were protecting the colonists from the
French. The colonists did not consider the French a threat
and did not like the idea of paying for the British protection.
If I was a colonist would have got mad because i would have
to pay extra for this soldier.

Stamp Act
1765The Stamp Act of 1765 imposed a direct tax by the
British Parliament specifically on the colonies of
British America which put a tax on every piece of
printed paper they used. Ship's papers, legal
documents, licenses, newspapers, other
publications, and even playing cards were taxed.
With this act, the colonists anger reached the
boiling point. The frustration was now to take the
form of overt rebellion.
Like every other colonist i would also get really
mad at the British and want to separate from them
and fight back.

Townshend Act
1767The Townshend Acts were a series of measures introduced
into Parliament by Chancellor of the Exchequer Charles
Townshend in 1767. The acts imposed duties on glass, lead,
paints, paper, and tea imported into the colonies., British
leaders convinced themselves that the colonists would accept
so-called indirect taxes such as import duties, a wishful
misunderstanding of colonial opinion. The result was the
resurrection of colonial hostilities created by the Stamp
Act.
If I was a colonist and the British put a indirect tax on
important things with out telling us, I would get frantic
because our own government is doing something for their own
benefit with out mentioning it to us.

Tensions between the American colonists and the British were already
running high in the early spring of 1770. Late in the afternoon, on March 5, a
crowd of jeering Bostonians slinging snowballs gathered around a small group
of British soldiers guarding the Boston Customs House. The soldiers became
enraged after one of them had been hit, and they fired into the crowd, even
though they were under orders not to fire. Five colonists were shot and
killed.Conflicts between the British and the colonists had been on the rise
because the British government had been trying to increase control over the
colonies and raise taxes at the same time. The event in Boston helped to
unite the colonies against Britain. What started as a minor fight became a
turning point in the beginnings of the American Revolution.
I would get enraged that British soldiers who are supposed to protect us are
firing, and killing us, and be part of the British Revolution.
1770
Boston Tea Party
1773The Boston Tea Party is a widely known and pivotal point leading to the War of
Independence between American colonies and the British empire.Legal action
leading directly to the Boston Tea Party involved increased taxes and trade tariffs.
Entrepreneurs in America thought the taxes were unfair and began to protest. The
British monarchy, trying to protect its own interests in trade, raised taxes on
certain items the British empire provided and set in motion events leading to the
Boston Tea Party. Three ships of imported tea waited in the harbor until the
colonists paid. Merchants and protesters who called themselves the Sons of Liberty
planned to act against the Crown. In a unified act of vandalism, the Sons of Liberty
dressed up as Native Americans and boarded the three ships and dumped mass
quantities of tea into the harbor. American colonists boycotted the British tea, but
the Empire didn’t approve. The Boston Tea Party was an act of revolt that led to
more resistance.
I would be one of the sons of liberty just like the others and boycott the tea from
the British dressed us as a Native American. After all I believe that every one of us
have Individual Rights.
