In the candy kingdom all candy people got their candy from one 

place far from their home. Many candy people traveled far to get this 

special candy and every day the route that took them there was used. 

The candy king Sir Licorice the Cinnamon-Hearted always called for 

the finest chocolates and candies but, one day the candies came in 

late.  

The King was very angry so he called in one of his guards "You, you 

there what is the problem with the candy goods this evening" said the 

king angrily. 

The guard smiled nervously and said " Two of the merchants are sick 

they are a few hours behind, Sir".

"Well then send a few knights out to help them along" said the King 

frustratingly.

As the Knight arrived he noticed a young boy and mother in the back 

of their carriage, looking very sick.   The knight approached slowly to 

the caravan. 

" What seems to be the problem?" said the knight. 

" We are all sick Sir the candy is tainted by some evil magic, that 

comes from far away" the knight cautiously approached and looked at 

the sicken travelers. 

" We have to get you to the castle quickly!" the worried knight hooked 

his horse up to the carriage alongside the others and told everyone to 

hop in. 

" Hiyah! Hiyah! Onward!" the knight hurried the small caravan along.

"Sir, they're back, they're back" the guard rushed in from outside the 

walls 

"Ahhh, my sweet candy, yummmm!" the king rushed towards the 

arriving shipment and went head first into the piles of candy.

The knight that accompanied the travelers rushed to the guard.

"Get those people to the house wizard fast!" said the knight hurriedly.

"Yes sir." the guard beckoned the traders into the castle.

The knight approached the King and said "Your Majesty, we have a 

slight problem on our hands the travelers say that the candy has some 

evil magic that is making them all sick" 

"It does not matter to me, I have my candy!" said the selfish King 

happily

Later that day the king felt very sick, he did not think it was from the 

candy, but from another illness.

"Ugh, this sickness is horrible I am getting candy sores all over me." 

the king said moaning.A knight walks into the bedroom with urgent 

news

"Sir, the travelers that have brought your candy are very sick they have 

candy sores just like you, and even some of our guards are coming 

down with the candy sickness." 

"What this can't be all of our guards and travelers sick? How! we must 

alert the other kingdoms now." said the King.

 The knight said "We already have, they pay us no attention to the 

danger that lies here."

The candy kingdom then decided to shut off their entire candy supply 

in order to keep the disease from spreading even more.

The sickness eventually stopped. But it made nearly half of the candy 

kingdom move away to other regions around them.

 Not many people were left in the candy kingdom.

The knight asked the king," Sir, where did everyone go?" 

The king replied," They have moved to different regions because of the 

candy sickness."

The candy kingdom was rebuilt and more and more people moved in. 

The candy kingdom was eventually as big as it was before the candy 

sickness.
