It was a dark and windy October night. The dark clouds hang down from the
sky ready to strike when it pleases. The full moon is as white as ever and
shines so bright like the sun. Bats flies across the night the sky and the passes
the moon; on their way to the mysterious forest. This sinister forest appears
to be giving off a dark aura every night, especially when it’s Halloween and it’s
the full moon. All the birds of all sizes are huddled together in their nests, as
they wait for something that they knew would happen in this very night. Not
only were they the ones who knew, but other mysterious creatures in the
malicious forest did too. Suddenly, there was the sound of thumping, as
someone was sprinting towards the forest. It was a girl. She takes a look at
the entrance of the forest, and then heads in. Her name was Skylar.

The path is getting darker and darker, as Skylar sprints on. Slowing down, she
gasps for her breath, only to smell the rotting bones of dead animals and the musty
smell of dried leaves; and looks around. I have no idea where I am, but at least I’ve
escaped everything I hated out there, she thinks to herself. Looking around, she
looks for her flashlight and turns it on. Plodding on, as she is still wondering she is,
she continues onward.

But not long after, a group of blood-thirsty mosquitoes as big as bumble bees meets
her. Skylar’s face turns pale and shrieks loudly as they fly to her. Within a split
second, she scampers away from them as fast as her legs can bring her, but only to
make her stumble twice. The moment she’s up, the mosquitoes are there, very close
and seeing a river; she throws a handful of water at them and they all collapse to the
ground.
Not taking any chances, she hobbles off looking for a place to rest.
“That was a close one. First, a creepy forest that looks as if it’s surrounded by
something dark. Then I meet those gigantic mosquitoes who were trying to eat me.
What next, werewolves? “Skylar whispers to herself.

Not too far away, deep into the forest, werewolves were howling since today is the fifteenth birthday
of the two alpha’s daughter, Skylar.
“I can’t believe it, Liza. It’s been fifteen years since those humans killed the witch who created this
place and took our baby daughter,” sighs Martin.
“I know, Martin. I really miss my baby,” Liza responds softly
Just then, their ears pricked up and they hear footsteps coming towards. There was a rustling sound
and a human girl stepped in. It was Skylar. Her scream stuck in her throat, she is frozen in fear unable
to move, as the pack of wolves circle around her and inspects her. Sensing that she was not a threat,
they transform back into their human form, since the sun was starting to rise.

“Who are you and what are you doing here?” Martin asks her
demandingly
“I’m...I’m Skylar. I...um... just ended up here when I was running away,”
stammers Skylar
Hearing her name, Martin motions Liza to come to him and they softly
discuss about her. Somehow inside them, they have a feeling as if they’re
related to her. Turning back around, Liza calmly asks Skylar how old she is,
when her birthday is, and who her parents were.
“Today’s my birthday, October 30 and I just turned fifteen. I have no
parents and I live at the orphanage,” Skylar replies.
When she said this, both Martin’s and Liza’s suspicion was proven. This girl
has to be their missing daughter, the one they lost for fifteen years.
“Skylar, do you happen to have a birthmark, like this one?” Martin asks
hopefully, as he shows her his beetle-shaped birthmark.

Skylar gasps audibly enough for them to hear because she had identical
one on her left forearm. She pulls up her sleeve and shows it to them.
Many questions races through her head. It’s like she’s meant to be here to
meet these people, it is her destiny.
“Skylar listen to me. I’m Liza your mother and this is Martin your father. I
know this is a bit overwhelming for you, but let me explain. Okay?” Liza
tells her.
