I have lots of friends.
We all love to play together, and chat while we eat our lunch.
But I have this one friend, a very best friend;
his name is spike.

Spike is Special. Spike may look like everyone else.
But deep inside he does not always
think the way we do.

Catch!

Spike never used to have any friends,he told me that before we became friends,
that he was very lonely,
he would watch other children play and
wish he was playing with them too.Spike is a little bit different from you and I.
Simple things like making new friends
and looking someone in the eye scars him.
Sometimes these things scare him so much
that he gets really angry and frustrated.
I always avoid Spike when he gets angry.

Spike's House
My House

Spike is in my class at school, and he even
lives on the same street as me! Everyone at
school thinks Spike is unusual and Different,
no one wants to be friends with him.

Look at that strange boy,Playing with the trains!

Before Spike and I became friends,
everyday, exactly at four o’clock, I would
see Spike in his front garden playing with
his toy trains. He did this every day of
the year; he did not care if it was
Christmas, his birthday or even school
holidays! I thought this was a very
strange way for a person to act.

One afternoon, just after four, I was walking home down the
street, I saw Spike in his garden just like usual, but unlike
everyday. I slowly walked up to him, and leaned over the tall
wooden fence.
I said in a quiet voice, “Mind if I play with you? I have a brand
new toy train at home” In return all I received was a simple
nod of Spike's head.

Did You know, that the Fastest train ever
Went 574.8 km/h?

I briskly walked home, dumped my school bag
down in the hall, ran up the stairs, and grabbed my
bright green toy train and went back down the
street to Spike's house.
We had a great time playing. We had train races
and built the best train track imaginable. Spike
knew so much about trains. So many amazing
facts!
For example he would say “Did you know that
freight trains take over a kilometer to stop?”

Its 4:20 ,Thomas the tank
engine is about to start

We were just about to have the best
train race of the century, when all of
a sudden Spike stood up and went to
walk inside.
I called out “Where are you going?”
He turned around with a shocked look
on his face, questioning
why I would not already know.
He stated before slamming the door
behind him,
“Its 4:20 , Thomas the tank engine is
about to start.”
He left me sat outside, wondering
what had just happened.
