I always wondered why the British ruled us. We were treated as hard as a rock. I was quite sure we would be treated like this forever. My family was really poor and my children always asked me why I don't fight for freedom. I always answered "I am not Gandhiji or someone!"

One day I got a letter at my doorstep. When I read the letter I knew at once I wasn't ready. When I was reading it again my children came in the room

and said "Papa, papa, you should do it!" I told them to keep their voice down or their mother would tell me to go for sure. The letter said -

भारत को आजादी दिलाने के लिए कृपया हमसे जुड़ें।

हम भारत के लिए आजादी पाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं लेकिन आपकी मदद के बिना ऐसा नहीं कर सकते।

I kept it away in a chest under my bed. When I went to bed I suddenly got a feeling that I should agree. I agreed at once. The next morning, when I woke up and sat to eat breakfast I heard a knock on the door. I went to open it, it was Mahatma Gandhi!

He came inside and I offered him tea, he didn't want anything. He was really happy he found someone who agreed. We chatted for a while, then he told me to meet him at a particular address the next day.

I went there the next day and there were multiple others. We started training. Everytime we finished with the training and I went home, I would go from house to house giving newspapers updating all Indians. Soon the article got famous that every Indian would read it. 

One day when I was writing my article I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and I was immediately arrested. They took me in a jeep and then I was put in jail. Every day Gandhiji would come to think of a plan with me. One day when I was sitting in jail
