Praise God

In the town of Salem, the townspeople are
very religious. They call themselves the
Puritans and they only wear certain
clothes.

Ha Ha Ha

Then one day, a few young girls in the town start
acting funny. They are caught telling fortunes with
a crystal ball.

What is wrong with you children?

When the girls were caught, Cotton Mathers, a
respected writer, assumes that the cause of this
occurrence must be witchcraft. So he questioned
the children.

Yes the witches are making us.

The girls clarify that witches are making
them do this so they avoid punishment.

Oh no!
What is going on!
Something is wrong!
We are gonna die!
I'm scared
What will become of us!
They are bewitched!
Lord forgive me!

At this the townspeople become paranoid.
And they freak out! However the governor,
William Phipps, doesn't calm them down.
Instead he and everyone else believe the
children.

Who are the witches.

So the townspeople, without thinking,
decide to get rid of the witches! So they
get Reverend Paris, the village minister, to
investigate.

Good Glover, Sarah Good, Sarah Osborne, Martha Cory, Rebbecca Nurse, George Burroughs,
etc.

Then the girls start naming names, and falsely
accuse innocent people they just don't like.

After this, the named people are tried and
wrongly accused. This is because if they
plead they aren't witches, they aren't
believed. But if they say they are witches,.
they are persecuted!

Yes she bewitched me!
She cursed me!
He did this to me!
He is making me do these things!
I'm cursed because of her! You've previewed 18 of 28 pages.
