Chapter 1
Joe is lost in the jungle.
You may be thinking how Joe even got lost in the jungle?
Well, it's because Joe and his Dad were going skydiving.
Joe was about to take a picture from the plane but then the phone fell out of his hand.
He went to grab his phone and fell into the jungle.
Joe's parachute failed.
Joe was scared, but he was hoping that he would land in water.
And he did. Phew!!
When he fell into the water it really hurt.
Joe fainted and he started to sink in the water.
Suddenly he was awake, he opened his eyes and he was lying on land.
He saw someone in front of him.
It was a girl.
She said "Are you OK?"
Joe looked around and he saw a snake beside him.
"ARGHHHHH"
´The girl said "Don't worry, that's just Slinky. He's my snake."
"What's your name?" she said.
"Hi, I'm Joe, what's your name?
"My name is Mary."
"Why do you have a snake?" asked Joe
"In case I encounter something that is going to fight me." replied Mary.
Joe slowly stood up because he still felt a little dizzy.
"Where am I?" Joe asked as he looked around.
"In the jungle." said Mary.
"WHAT?"
Joe said "But what are you doing in the jungle."
At the same time Mary asked "Why were you in the water?"
Chapter 2
"I fell out of a plane." said Joe
"YOU WHAT?"
"I fell out of a plane" repeated Joe "and what are you doing here?"
"I got lost from my parents when we were on a jungle expedition."
"I'm sorry." said Joe.
"Its not your fault." laughed Mary, "Its mine."
"Why?" asked Joe.
"I went into the restricted area and got lost. My parents must not have been able to find me."
"Oh No!, that's not good!" said Joe.
"Well I can't do anything about it" said Mary.
'SSssSSsss' Slinky hissed.
Mary said "Slinky wants to know, how you fell out of a plane?"
"I was trying to take a picture." said Joe
'SSssSSsss SSss'
Mary said "He means what were you doing in a plane?"
"We were going skydiving." said Joe.
"Wow - were you scared"
"No, not until I fell, it was my third time" Joe said "I just want to get out of here and get back home. Can we just try and find our parents?" said Joe.
"OK, I have tried before, but with you with me, maybe this time we will escape the jungle"
Mary said "Follow me" and started to walk into the jungle. Joe and Slinky followed her.
While they were walking through the jungle they saw lots of animals, insects and birds. There were lots of noisy monkeys eating bananas. One monkey seemed to like Joe.
They kept walking through the jungle. They didn't know there was a monkey following them. Joe followed Mary out from some trees – it was a dead end. There was a large cliff in front of them.
"Don't worry" said Mary "we just need to climb the ladder to my tree house" and pointed to a tree.
They climbed up the ladder and Joe started to see the tree house. They had to climb a rope ladder to get into the tree house. Mary was carrying Slinky around her neck.
When they opened the door, it looked so cool inside. There was what looked like a broken TV, there was part of a couch there was even a rusty fridge.
Joe asked "Does this stuff work?"
"No... there is no electricity" said Mary.
