In Memories: Mr James (2011)

I could recall many memories from my childhood that caused both emotional delight and emotional devastation. My memories range from conquering my fear of sleeping in the dark to accepting responsibility for my father's death. Suddenly, tears started to fall onto my chubby cheeks. My tears broke the silence of the night. I could imagine a tall man who did not exist anymore standing right beside me. Other people might see him as a useless and weak man, but for me, he was not only a father, but he was also a hero. 

Last decade, my family and I planned to go for a holiday during the school holiday. My father promised me that we would go to Paris. "Adelaide!", he shouted and opened the door. I thought he would tell me that we were going to Paris, but he lied. He was telling us that we were going to the beach instead! I hate that man! "Mr James, what about your promise? You said that we're going to Paris this year!", I said. The old, stingy man said that we should save some money to pay for my education fees. How can I do? I just forced myself to follow them because there were no people in the mansion. 

Mr James, what about your promise? You said that we're going to Paris this year!

After one hour of driving, we stopped at a petrol station to get some food. I was devastated. How can I eat at such a place like this?! My father asked me to buy some food from the shop at the petrol station. I resisted. I could not consume any food from this place. I wish I could have some steak at a luxurious mall instead. He sighed. He went out and bought the food himself. 

I wish I could have a steak instead.
