It was a Monday morning at Miss
Broccoli's Cooking School.
The student's were reviewing
the alphabet so that they could
make recipes all by themselves.

"Can anyone tell me what
letter comes after 'A'?"
Miss. Broccoli asked.

Watermelon, Strawberry and Orange
were jumping all over and wanted to
answer the question.
But Pineapple was sitting by himself
looking unhappy.

In mixing class, Miss.Broccoli asked each
student to take out their Baking Soda and
Sugar to make muffins.
Watermelon, Strawberry and Orange were
ready to get started but Pineapple took out his
Baking Powder and Salt.

Watermelon, Strawberry and Orange followed the
recipe and made delicious muffins.
Pineapple tried his best but ended up making
nothing but a mess.
Miss. Broccoli noticed that Pineapple had been
having trouble all day in cooking school and asked to
see him in her office after class.

"Now Pineapple, the reason I have asked you to
come is to talk about today's class. I have noticed
that you are having difficulty reading anything"
exclaimed Miss.Broccoli.
Pineapple looked at the floor and said nothing.

"I don't want you to be worried Pineapple, but I think
you may have trouble seeing. Do you find you have
trouble making out what objects look like? And do things
seem to be blurry?" Asked Miss. Broccoli.

"Yes, all the time!" replied Pineapple. "I couldn't see the
letters you were showing us today and I couldn't read
my recipe. That's why I couldn't make my muffins. I
love baking but I can never make a recipe myself
because I cannot read the ingredients" Pineapple cried.
"Come with me Pineapple, I know who can help" said
Miss. Broccoli.

"Hello Pineapple, my name is Doctor Carrot and I am an eye
doctor. This is an eye exam on the wall. Can you tell me
what these letters are?" asked the doctor. "No" said
Pineapple. "I can barely see any of the letters they are all
blurry".

"Try these glasses on Pineapple. These are meant to help
your eyes see things clearly. Now try reading the eye exam"
asked Dr.Carrot. "Wow" said Pineapple, "I am starting to
see the shapes of the letters but it is still kind of fuzzy".
