Joey was spending his first night at his house in the city of Houston, Texas. His family had just moved from Toronto, Canada.

The country of Canada is located above the United States. A fun fact about Canada is that it has millions of lakes! 

Joey and his family took a plane to Houston where he had a conversation with his mom. "Mom, what if the kids in our new city don't like me or think I'm weird?" his mom replied, "Son, you will make a lot of new friends. They will love to learn about Canada!"

Mrs. Molina welcomed Joey to the class on his first day of school in Houston. She said loudly, "Everyone welcome Joey to our third grade class y'all!" 

Canada? don't the people there live in Igloo's?" said a classmate."Yeah and all they do is go fishing, how boring." said another classmate. 

When Joey got back home from school, his parents took him for a walk at their local park. "How was school son?" said his father. "You must have made so many new friends, right?" said his mother.

Joey felt a pit of embarrassment form in his stomach, how could he ever tell his parents that nobody likes him? "Yes mom and dad, everyone is really nice. I even met a boy who says his parents are from Canada."
