Cassidy Thibodeau is a student majoring in early childhood education at the university of Calgary, who as a part of her Art 309 course wanted to exploring the theme of representation in different sources of literature and media. She hopes to one day become a child book author and inspire kids to love themselves for who they are.

This story follows a young girl who becomes insecure about the presence of her shadow. She chooses to distance herself from it in pursuit of happiness, but learns that her shadow is an equally important part of who she is. learning to love it for everything that it is in the process
