Great White Shark

AaA is for Australia, Great white sharks are found in
coastal waters in every major ocean but the great
white shark is most commonly sighted around
Australia, South Africa, California and Mexico.
BbB is for breach, Great Whites swim upward at a fast sprint,
bursting out of the water in a leap called a breach, and falling
back into the water with its prey in their mouths.

C is for cartilage, Great Whites do not have a single
bone in their body, instead the skeleton of a shark is
made of cartilage.
DdD is for Dorsal, The dorsal fin of the Great White shark
is the fin seen above the surface of the water. It is best
to get out of the area as soon as possible if you see a
dorsal fin up there on the water.

EeE is for electromagnetic, Great white sharks are able to
detect electromagnetic fields,which are generated by
the muscle contractions of all living things.

FfF is for food, A Great White consumes about
11 tons of food in one year.

G Is for gills , Sharks get their oxygen from the water when it
passes over their gills as they swim. The minimum speed
required for a great white to breathe is 3.3 feet per second.

HhH is for hunting, Great Whites have good sense of smell
eyesight and hearing so they have no trouble hunting for
food any time of day or night.
IiI is for inspect, Similar to a whale, Great White Sharks will
often stick their heads out of the water to inspect their prey.
This is known as spy-hopping.



JjJ is for jaw, Great white sharks, upper
jaw rests below the skull, but can be
detached when the shark attacks its
prey.

KkK is for Kangaroo, Great White Sharks are also
frequently seen all over Kangaroo Island's
beaches.There are plenty of shark-watching
planes available in the area.
LlL is for largest, Great whites are the largest predatory
fish.
MmM is for male, female Great White are
larger then Males.

NnN is for Nose, Great Whites body is shaped very
similar to a torpedo. They can easily be identified by
their pointed nose.
OoO is for Orcas Great White Sharks are no match for Orcas in a
fight. Orcas, better known as Killer Whales, sometimes hunt in
packs plus they are too fast and strong for even the biggest
Great Whites.
PpP is for pup, A baby great white shark is called a pup.
Pups are about 5 feet long, when they are born.
QqQ is for Questionable, the maximum size of a great
white shark is still questionable because reports are
often based on rough estimations or speculations.
Rr
R is for rolls, Great Whites don't have eyelids in order
to protect their eyes the Great White Shark rolls his
eyes to the back of his head when attacking its prey.
SsS is for smell,Great White Sharks have excellent
sense of smell,they have the ability to smell a single
drop of blood in 25 gal of water.
