Joseph had 11 brothers. These brothers hated Joseph and were really mean, because their dad gave him a coat of many colours! Joseph had big dreams and aspirations. 

We hate you!

Joseph's brothers had enough of him that one day they threw him into a well. They even made up a story to tell their dad, and placed blood of an animal on his coat to say he was dead. As part of their scheme Joseph was sold to some Ishmaelites. He had to work really hard since he was a slave. 

Why are you guys doing this to me? What have I done?

We never want to see you again!

Joseph was taken to the land of Egypt, where he was then sold to one of the Pharoah officials, Potiphar. Everything Joseph did was blessed and he was soon elevated to Potiphar's house to be in charge of everything except Potiphar's wife.

*sighs* Why is everyone treating me like this? I miss my family. *cries*
