Can I play?

I froze with shock, my eyes filled with excitement. I could not believe that I was about to go on my first ever holiday, out of Canada, and I'm only 8 years old! It took a lot of convincing, but now my family and I are going on a tropical holiday to Bali. 

" Hi Ruby can I play dolls with you and Nan," I said joyfully.

"Ok Luna but you get the spare doll," Ruby giggled because she knows that one is old.

It is now the day we fly off to Bali. I’m more excited than I’ve ever been before. We finally arrived! You could tell that everyone was exhausted. I can’t believe it took us 20 hours to get here. My family and I weren’t used to the heat, so I think it was a shock for everyone.

 Later that day we had arrived at our hotel, Ruby and I decided to go swimming at the beach.  I dipped my feet in the salty cold water. Then suddenly Ruby screamed, I panicked thinking the worst, was she drowning? did the current float her away to a remote island?

“Luna a puppy is drowning in the water!” She yelled with her face full of panic.

Quickly I swam out to the cute little puppy about to drown! I grabbed hold of her and swam back up to the shore hiding her in my rash shirt.

 Ruby and I ran up to nan and said at the same time,

“Can we go get the sand toys from the hotel?”

“Fine but be quick, there and back!” Nan yelled sternly. 

We quickly, sprinted up to the hotel when we were inside, I grabbed a towel and dried off the little puppy instantly.

Quick let's go!

“Luna, what are we going to name her?” said Ruby curiously.

“I think we should name her Mila,” I said.

We then hid her in our room and ran back to the beach grabbing the sand toys on the way, so nan doesn’t get suspicious. Luckily, we got back just in time but all that was going through my head, was will mum and dad find out?
