AYŞE KULİN

Ayşe Kulin (born 26 August 1941) is a Turkish female short story writer, screenwriter and novelist. Kulin graduated from the American College for Girls in Arnavutköy, Istanbul. She released a collection of short stories titled Güneşe Dön Yüzünü in 1984. A short story from this called Gülizar was made into a film titled Kırık Bebek in 1986, for which she won a screenplay award from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Kulin worked as a screenwriter, cinematographer and producer for many films, television series and advertisements. In 1986, she won the "Best Cinematographer Award" from the Theatre Writers Association for her work in the television series Ayaşlı ve Kiracıları. She has been married twice, her latest novels Hayat and Hüzün describe her life with her spouses, Mehmet Sarper and Eren Kemahli. Both ended in divorce but she bore four sons from the marriages.

Ioana Pârvulescu (born on the 10th of January, 1960) is a Romanian writer, born in Brașov, and she studied at the University of Bucharest. After graduating in 1983 she worked as both a French, and a Romanian teacher in Giurgiu County, until 1990. From 1990, until 1993, she was an editor at the Litera Publishing House in Bucharest. Between 1993 and 2010, she became a weekly editor for Romania Literara, in the literary criticism department. In 1999 she became a philology doctor. Some of her work contains: “The Innocents”, “Life begins on Friday” (there is even an English translation you can find for this particular one), “Return to the 21st century”, and “19th century privacy”.

 Simona Popescu is a Romanian writer and novelist, best known for her successful novel, ,,Exuvii".The novel won The Prize of the Professional Writers Association and it was translated into Polish and Hungarian. 

    Exuvii means the coat resulting from the shed and the adults' exit from the pupa. Simona Popescu doesn't give up on these,,exuvii", she even collects all of them in a volume.

Oriana Fallaci (1929-2006) was an Italian journalist, writer and activist. She was born in Florence on 29 June 1929.

She actively participated in the Italian resistance under the name of Emilia by taking the relay and leading the British and American prisoners, who had fled from the concentration camps. After graduating from high school, she studied first Medicine and then Humanities, without ever finishing her studies. In 1977 she received an Honorary Degree in Literature.

She began to deal with journalism first in Milan and then in Rome. She lives for over 10 years in New York, where she lived "live" the disaster of September 11th.

She has always fought to see HUMAN RIGHTS respected.
