However, their night vision is six times better 

than a human, making them nocturnal 

hunters.

During the 20th century, Siberian tiger populations 

began decreasing and were close to extinction. 

Their population now is estimated to be 400 to 500 

Siberian Tigers.

They travel many miles to find prey like elk, deer, 

bear, and wild boars. They are able eat 60 to 

100 pounds of food in one night, but they usually 

eat less.

There are rare cases where Siberian Tigers 

have a unique fur coloration, such as all 

white or all black.

Their roar is so loud it can be heard over 3 

miles away and be compared to an 

airplane's turbine when next to it.

When Siberian Tigers squint or close their 

eyes it means they are calm, safe, and 

happy.

Their territories are 10 to 30 miles 

large.

Siberian Tigers use their urine to mark their 

territories and scratch trees around the territory 

they claim.
