Dedicated to the teachers and students at TPVS, and my 4th grade teacher Mr. Mumford

Prologue
“Oh no, is she going to be ok? My daughter just swallowed a bee! I'm going to ride with her in the ambulance. Out of my way!” “Ma’am please calm down. She is going to be fine."A man in a gray coat and a mask said.
“How do you know!”
“ I don’t…” He replied.
“See!” said the woman.
The woman’s eyes were brimming with tears. She looked over at a tall man with brown hair and a teenage girl. They both had a scared look in their eyes.
“May, Logan, please ride with me.” The woman said.
“Ok. We are coming.” the man named Logan said.
A crowd had gathered around the ambulance. The woman grabbed Logan and May. She ran towards the ambulance. She walked in, Logan and May trailing behind her.
“Ma’am that is a lot of people!” An EMT shouted.
“Who cares! “Your daughter might!”
The woman thought for a moment. Time seemed to stop. Every person standing there had their eyes glued to the family. She stared somewhere off in her mind, a glazed look in her eyes.
“Well we need to be with her!” She said loudly.
“Oh… alright but that's it.”
As the lady, her husband and eldest daughter stepped into the ambulance the doors shut behind them and no one could see anymore. The trees rustled with a quiet breeze and as the ambulance sped away it picked up dust that was thrown at the crowd.
Chapter 1
“Yay! Tomorrow is summer vacation. I can't wait!” May, Judy’s sister said at breakfast. “Maybe you will go to summer school Judy!”
Her spoon clinked softly on her cereal bowl as she ate breakfast. She stared sweetly at Judy. Judy looked for her parents. She found them whispering in the living room. They glanced over, saw her looking at them and her mom walked over to the door. The old, polished wood floor, creaking, made May look over too.
“Oh yeah well maybe you will too.” replied Judy coldly when the door had shut.
“I am so much smarter than you.'' May said, smirking.
“NO, you are not!” Judy yelled, rising up onto the table. “You want to say that again!”
“Yes, yes I do.” May said.
The living room door opened and Judy’s mom stepped out. She glared at both of them. Under the cold stare Judy shrank back.
“ I only go away for two minutes and you two start fighting! I can’t believe it! Both of you stop it!” Mom said.
“She was the one yelling.” May said. “What did I do!”
Judy opened her mouth to say something. Then thought better of it and closed it. Her dad walked out of the living room. He looked at all of them glaring at each other. The room was eerily silent.
“May, go to your room,” Mom said. “and I don’t want any buts.”
“Fine!” May shouted, stomping up the stairs.
“Ignore her, she is just being mean.” Mom said opening her laptop.
OMG judy you have to stay in summer school!! what!! I thought we were going to maine.“I know but you got an F in Spanish class.” Her mom replied.
“Well I can't help my grades!”
“Yes you can.”
“No I can’t. I’m like a robot. I can’t control myself ok!”
“You also got a C in math.”
“Well, that's better right?”
“No.”
“Cole is in summer school too.”
“Why Cole, he's a wuss, why not Joey? I like him.”
Mom took out her phone and started texting.
“Joey is in summer school too.”
“What! Yay!! We will be together. Yep I love Joey, remember the time he got stung by a bee he didn't even cry!”
“I know you told me that already. Go pack up for summer school.”
“FINE! I WILL GO PACK.”
------------------------------------------
“Ok Dad, I am ready to go to Maine!”
“Sorry Judy but you have to get to summer school.” Judy’s dad replied.
“What?! NO!”
Chapter 2
Judy stepped outside. The wind whipped her hair high on her head. She stared at the school building. The one she had been in for so long. She felt angry. Why can’t I just go to Maine? She thought.
As she stepped inside the school building she saw the familiar hallway. Gray lockers lined the walls.
“Hi class I am Mrs. Hitchens and today you will be answering this problem 2*3 You have 15 minutes. GO! Oh and show your work and no talking or whispering.”
------------------------------------------
“Okay class see how you did. Joey you got a 20. Cole you got an -294753 he even spelled his name wrong “WOW at least I got my name right.” . well sort of your name judy and you spelled it judu
“Oh well SORRY for trying my best Mrs. Hitchens.” Judy said angrily.
*Judy walks out of school at the end of the day*
“Oh what a pleasant day.” She said, rolling her eyes. “To make things even worse, in two days we have the first day of summer school! Boy will that be nice!”
Chapter 3
The next day the bell rang for recess. Judy was playing tag with Joey and other kids when Cole got stung by a wasp!
“Waaaaa!!” Cole started crying.
“Don't be a crybaby! You're annoying me.” Said Judy. (28 minutes later) Cole is going to the hospital because he is allergic to bee stings.)
Hopefully he’s alright.” Said Mrs. Hitchens, “Don't be mean to Cole, he’s been having a hard time lately. Ok?”
“Ok” Judy murmured, not looking at Mrs. Hitchens. “Does that mean that Cole isn't going To go to summer school?”
“I'm afraid so sweetie.”
“What? YES! Sorry I mean No!”
All Cole needed to do is get stung by a bee to not go to summer school. She thought Smiling.
*the next day at school*
“Let's do another test. The first question is, what is 2*2?” said Mrs. Hitchens.
“Why is this so hard?” Judy said.
Um is it 7 no 10 yeah 10! Judy thought. Class I will take your test sheets. Mrs. Hitchens said. Judy gave her the sheet then the bell rang. (Judy goes home her mom looks at her score) WHAT IT'S A C + Judy we need to talk. OK. Your grades are not ok so that's why we can't take you to Maine but since we already paid I guess we have to take you but you'll just sit in the car, and we'll do fun things. NOOOOOOOOOO Judy yelled.
