Once upon a time there were three bears, who lived together in a wooden house in a little town. There was the Daddy bear, Mommy bear, and the 14-year-old bear named Luna bear.

One sunny Saturday morning, after the family had made brown sugar cinnamon porridge for breakfast, they went out for a walk to the town circle to wait for the piping hot porridge to cool. While they were out on their stroll, a 16-year-old girl named Goldilocks was taking her morning walk before brunch. Walking near the bear family’s house, she decided it would be the perfect day to meet the family because she had always passed the house and thought it looked very cozy. She knocked, and when no one answered, she opened it herself.

As she walked in, she noticed that the house was filled with furniture and paintings. She grew curious and walked around the room, opening a closet to find it filled with toys, books, and collective pieces piled up.
“Huh,” she thought, “who would need that much stuff?”

She then sat at the breakfast counter, taking a deep whiff of the aroma of the sweet porridge and thinking “Wow, that smells delicious.” She decided that she was hungry enough to have a big bowl, so she tried a spoonful from the large bowl. It was too hot.
She tried the medium bowl next, found that too cold, and decided that the small bowl tasted perfect.
Once she was finished with her breakfast, she decided to pick up a magazine and sit on one of the comfy blue colored chairs. Since she assumed that the small one would be perfect for her, she immediately sat in it. It was, in fact, perfect for a few minutes but then it broke!

While shocked, she believed she could easily repair the chair since she had delusions that she was in her own home. As she tried piecing it together, the motor disturbances limited her abilities to move her hands freely. Giving up, she started rocking back and forth, displaying one of the positive symptoms characteristic of undifferentiated schizophrenia. Goldilock’s heart started pounding and she broke out into a sweat. She clutched the magazine as tightly as she could with her trembling fingers, knowing that she was having an episode from the fact that she just broke a chair in a stranger’s home. While she continued to be overwhelmed by worry and her episode symptoms, she heard the family’s voices from outside the door and they entered.

(rocking)

As soon as Mommy bear entered, she gasped and said, “Oh no, I think someone came into our house and broke our furniture. We need to call someone right now.”
“I’m s-sorry. I-I’m Goldilocks, and I’m so sorry. Your house looked so cozy and I-,” Goldilocks stammered as her negative symptoms surfaced. She closed her eyes and took several deep breaths.

Mommy bear’s frightened face immediately softened, and she ran over to hug her with her big warm arms. “Oh honey, it’s okay. Try to calm down, and we can all eat some breakfast together.” After about 10 minutes, Goldilocks calmed down and felt safer. They all went back to the counter to eat porridge. This time, Mommy bear filled two small bowls with porridge. Goldilocks looked at her gratefully and smiled.
