"The Little Prince" is a novella in form and a fairy tale in plot, tells everyone in understandable language about serious and eternal issues: love, friendship, loyalty and responsibility for loved ones. To understand the meaning and the main idea of the story, we offer to read a summary of "The Little Prince" by chapter online.

Chapter 1.
As a child, the narrator drew his first picture: a boa constrictor that had swallowed an elephant. The adults who saw the drawing decided that it depicted a hat and advised the boy to study geography and other sciences instead of drawing. Because of this, the child lost faith in himself.
He chose the profession of a pilot and flew around almost the entire world. He met with different adults. As soon as it seemed that the person spoke to him "the same language", he showed him his childish drawing: the one with the boa constrictor and the elephant; but
everyone, without exception, saw only a hat in the drawing. And then the narrator had no choice but to talk to them about politics, ties, and other things they lived by. There was no one to talk to.
Chapter 2
So the narrator lived his life alone until one day an engine failure forced him to land his plane in the desert.
At dawn, a little man who had fallen asleep was awakened by a little man who had come out of nowhere. He asked me to draw him a lamb. The hero drew the only picture he could. What was his amazement when the boy exclaimed that he didn't want the elephant in the boa!
Trying time after time to draw the kind of lamb the little boy was waiting for, the pilot lost patience and drew a box. The little man was very pleased - after all, he could see his lamb there.
Such was the introduction of the narrator to the Little Prince.
Chapters 3-4
The Kid asked a lot of questions, but when the pilot asked about him, he pretended not to hear. From the scraps of information he received, it became clear that the child was from another planet and that this planet was very small. On reflection, the pilot decided that his home was the asteroid B612, seen through the telescope only once: so small it was.
Chapter 5
Little by little the pilot learned something about the life of the Little Prince. So, one day it became known that in the house of the little one, too, there are troubles. Among the plants there are often baobabs. If you don't distinguish their sprouts from the others in time and don't weed them out, they will quickly destroy the planet, tearing it apart with their roots.
To prevent this from happening, the Little Prince had a firm rule: "Get up in the morning, wash your face, clean up, and immediately clean up your planet.
Chapter 6
Gradually it became clear that the little guy was often sad on his planet. If "it gets very sad, it's good to see the sun go down," the Little Prince said. There was a day when the boy saw the sun set more than forty times...
Chapter 7
On the fifth day of his acquaintance, the pilot learned the secret of the Little Prince. On his planet lived an extraordinary flower that no one else in the world had. He was afraid that someday the lamb that destroys baobab sprouts would eat his favorite plant.
Chapter 8
The narrator soon learned more about the flower. The Little Prince once had a tiny sprout that was unlike any other flower. Eventually a bud grew on it, which took a long time to open. When all the petals opened, the little boy was delighted to see a real beauty. She turned out to be a difficult character: the guest was a delicate and proud nature. The boy, who took everything the beauty said to heart, felt unhappy and decided to flee, setting off on a journey.
Telling the story of the flower, the Little Man already understood that "we should have judged not by words, but by deeds" - because the beautiful girl had watered
the planet with her fragrance, and he did not know how to enjoy it and "did not know how to love."
