Once upon a time there were… children. Different from ordinary children.

Ήταν ένα κορίτσι που της άρεσε να παίζει με φορτηγά και τρακτέρ.

She was a girl who liked to play with trucks and tractors.

Era una ragazza a cui piaceva giocare con camion e trattori.

Ήταν ένα αγόρι που του άρεσε να διαβάζει παραμύθια σε άλλα παιδιά.

He was a boy who liked to read fairy tales to other children.

Era un ragazzo a cui piaceva leggere le fiabe ad altri bambini.

Ήταν ένα κορίτσι που ήθελε να πάει στο φεγγάρι.

She was a girl who wanted to go to the moon.

Era una ragazza che voleva andare sulla luna.

Ήταν ένα αγόρι που αγαπούσε το μπαλέτο.

He was a boy who loved ballet.

Era un ragazzo che amava il balletto.

Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό ήταν… οι μεγάλοι.

Once upon a time there were… the great ones.

 C'erano una volta... i grandi.

Που γείωναν τα όνειρά των παιδιών, ψαλίδιζαν τα φτερά τους, αφαιρούσαν τη φαντασία τους.

That grounded the children's dreams, clipped their wings, removed their imagination.

Ciò ha radicato i sogni dei bambini, tarpato loro le ali, rimosso la loro immaginazione.

Είπαν πως στο φεγγάρι μόνο άντρες αντέχουν να πάνε. Τα φορτηγά είναι για τα αγόρια και παραμύθια στα παιδιά διαβάζουν οι γιαγιάδες.

They said that on the moon only men can bear to go. The trucks are for the boys and the grandmothers read fairy tales to the children.

Dissero che sulla luna solo gli uomini possono sopportare di andare. I camion sono per i ragazzi e le nonne leggono le fiabe ai bambini.

Κι ήταν κι άλλα παιδιά σαν κι αυτά. Κι όλα ονειρεύονταν. Και τα παιδιά που πίστεψαν στα όνειρά τους και δεν τα εγκατέλειψαν δικαιώθηκαν.

And there were other children like them. And everything was dreaming. And the children who believed in their dreams and did not abandon them were justified. 

E c'erano altri bambini come loro. E tutto stava sognando. E i bambini che credevano nei loro sogni e non li abbandonavano erano giustificati.

Το κορίτσι έγινε αστροναύτης, το αγόρι νηπιαγωγός, ένα άλλο κορίτσι έγινε οδηγός φορτηγού κι ένα αγόρι έγινε γραμματέας.

The girl became an astronaut, the boy a kindergarten teacher, another girl a truck driver and a boy a secretary.

La ragazza è diventata un'astronauta, il ragazzo un insegnante d'asilo, un'altra ragazza un camionista e un ragazzo un segretario.
