Life in the Aztecs

I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom. On my way I smelled some delicious food. I quickly used the bathroom and went to the kitchen. There was a large loaf of bread sitting on the table, and I went to eat it. But then my wife slapped my hand. “Wait for me to use the bathroom, then we can eat” She said. She was really mean sometimes, but other times she was actually very nice.
A couple minutes later, she came back and I ate the sweet bread. I had to get going soon, so I said goodbye to my wife, and left for work. I was a merchant, and my job was so much better because of the calendar being invented. I passed by the school on my way, and waved to the many children that were at the school. I then realized that I needed to go to the farm to pick up some food before I could open up my stand, so I started to head to one of the farms.
The Aztec Empire was a large set of artificial islands that were on a lake in Northern Mexico, so getting around was pretty difficult. There were also hundreds of thousands of people living here, so it was always very crowded. I finally got to the farm and I headed to where all the crops were.
I got sidetracked and talked to the farmer for a bit because he was my friend. He was a very nice person for a farmer, and he told me that Europeans were coming to the empire. “Europeans? Why would they be coming here?”. “I don’t really know” he said. “You should get going though because you need to get to work soon” he said. “Oh yeah gotta go bye!”, I said.
I picked up a bag and filled it with a lot of fruits and vegetables for my stand, said goodbye to my friend, and left. On my way to the stand, I was thinking about the Europeans. “Why would they be coming?” I thought to myself, and I was a little worried about what they were going to do. I tried not to think about it, and before I realized it I was at my stand.
I set everything up, sorted out the fruits and the vegetables, and started selling. “What would you like to buy?” I asked someone. “I would like some corn and some apples”. I gave him the corn and the apples, and he left, and as he left his face looked worried. I looked around and realized that everyone around me looked worried. I wondered why, but I decided to not think about it, and just keep selling.
