This book called "I Care About Myself and My World" was created by the partners of an e-Twinning project 'SpeaKING is on the stage' to write a common audio story. 

I am Mia. I'm twelve years old. I study in secondary school. 

Each individual has some responsibilities both for himself and for the world. As children, we need to be aware of these responsibilities. 

It is our future. The best future is in our hands. Let's read this story about what we need to do for this.

Chapter 1

           Mia is interested in sports.She knows

 that doing sports is very important for health.She loves volleyball and she can play it very well.Also she plays in the school team.She trains three times a week after school.

         She likes rollerskating.There is a big park near house.She sometimes goes there to rollerskate.She thinks it is enjoyable and exciting.

          When she goes to school,she learns that there is a sports camp at the weekend.She talks to her physical education teacher and decides to join the sports camp.She is so excited.

          She goes home and talks to her parents about the sports camp.They give permission her.She is so happy and prepares her suitcase.

          The next morning,she gets up early and 

has breakfast.

After breakfast, Mia leaves with her friends and her physical education teacher. She's very happy and she knows she will have fun.

Once they arrived at the sports camp, they are well received. On the following days a tournament begins in which Mia will partecipate together  with her team so they immediately begin to train  in order to win the competition.

When their turn comes they are super excited and worried because the other team is very strong, but they know it and they will try to do their best.

The match ends with the victory of Mia's team . They are the champions!

Later,  other games are played, always seeing Mia's team winning and reaching the finals...

The finals...

They wanted to train everyday but their trainer said that the team needs a day off. Mia was stubborn and wanted to be sure she will win at any price so she decided to train alone on the day off.

All went well until she fell and hurt her hand.  She went to the hospital with her mom. She had a sprained to her hand.  

Mia was very sad and  needed some time alone.  After some thoughts she came to the conclusion that she can't give up on her team and the tournament so she will be there no matter what. The winnin contest was just two days apart, so Mia already made up a plan on how she will sneak into the gym without the trainer knowing.

She did it. Even she was in pain she plaied with her team and they wan but she learned something in that day. She learned an important lesson. 

It’s a lot of sacrifices hiding behind succes but sometimes you need to put your health on the first place.

Chapter 2 

Mia likes the books. She likes comedy and action books. Her favourite book is Alice in wonderland.After school she goes to the library.
One day their principal announces they are going to choose the student who reads the most. Mia starts to read more books.
Finally that day comes...

Mia goes to school she is excited. The principal anounces the results. Mia is surprised when she hears her name.
The principal gives Mia bookworms badge and a ticket for book fair.
She returns home happily. Next day, she goes to the book fair with her family.She enjoys very much.

On that day Mia also met several book authors and having been the school's prizewinner, one of the authors gave her a magical book: whenever she opened it she would live as a protagonist in the stories she read .

Mia very excited returned home with her family.It had been a beautiful day but she couldn't wait to open the magic book and start dreaming and living new adventures.

She spent the whole night reading the new book, so she found herself catapulted into several fairy tales she alredy knew: Snow White. Little Red Riding Hook, Cinderella ... but this time she was the protagonist. Knowing how they endend, the protagonist of all the stories, never ran into unpleasant events.

And so it was that, using his imagination, she avoied eating the red apple of the witch of Snow White, every morning she brought cookies to the bad wolf to prevent him from eating Little Red Riding Hood's granny, and costantly moved the hands of the clock so that it would not arrive, never midnight in Cinderella's tale.

And it is with the tale of Cinderella that, dancing with the Prince, she fell asleep.

When she woke up she realized that she had lived a splendid night, sure that she would never forget it.

When Mia woke up ,she told all the events to her family.Hearing these events her family didn't believe Mia.

The next morning ,Mia told her friends what happened.Her friends were surprised and wanted to be in Mia's place.

Mia and her friends went to the library wanted to choose a book to read.Mia returned home because she couldn't find the book she wanted.

But the book she wanted was at home.She was a little shocked.She got excited and closed up the book.She started reading the book with excitement and finished in a short time.

Books were Mia's best friends and she realized that life is more enjoyable with reading.She told her friends that reading book is enjoyable and all of her friends are enjoying reading books.

Chapter 3

Mia loves animals. She cares about our so called little brothers. She has a pet, it is a dog.          She feeds the dog three times a day and she takes it for long walks in the evenings. One day she found an alone cat on the street. It had a wound on its hind leg . It was very  cute, but unhappy. Mia took the cat home and  took care of it. Next day at school she told the teacher about the cat.

      All her classmates were very excited and sorry about the cat. The teacher told the students about the animal shelter. It  provides  vet services and homes for animals in need.  They decided to visit the shelter next Sunday. There were a lot of puppies, kittens, dogs there. They fed the animals, played with them and had a lot of fun. Some of the students decided to adopt an animal.

-Mum, can i say something?

-Yes, of course.

-Mum, you know i love animals very much. Can we go to the animal shelter?

-I am afraid, we can't. I am busy now.

-When shall we go?

-How about going at 1 p.m?

-OK, mum. It sounds great.

Now Mia and her mother are at the shelter.

-Look, Mia. There are a lot of animals here.

-Yes, mum, they are very beautiful.
