One night a black figure jumped from building to building. Her name was Lylith Minaria. She was the biggest crime boss in the entire city. All of a sudden she skids to a stop. She has arrived at Midnight Bank. She sets off a bomb, and runs off into the night…

Wee-ooh! Wee-ooh! Wee-ooh! “What time is it?” Nikki moans. She glances at her alarm clock. It reads six o'clock! “What's going on?” She mumbles sleepily. She puts on some clothes and steps out of her apartment into the elevator. 

She walks outside and gasps. A bunch of police are right in front of her! 

“Are you Miss Catlina?” A police officer asks. 

“Yes, I’m Miss Catlina.” She stammers. Another policeman steps up. “Excuse me, sorry for the intrusion but we need to ask couple questions about the robbery at midnight bank.” 

An hour later the police are done integrating Nikki. “Goodbye Miss Catlina.” A police officer says. She says goodbye and then goes inside. Nikki’s head is spinning with thoughts while eating cereal, and brushing her teeth. She packs her bag and heads out the door.

She arrived at school a few minutes late.  Nikki sprints through the hallway while thinking “oh no!”  Finally, she bursts through the classroom door gasping and panting. “I’m here!” Everyone looks at her very funny.

“Very well.” Her teacher, Mrs. Palm says.  “Have a seat, and next time do not be late!”  Nikki finds her seat and begins her schoolwork.  

Chapter One

After lots and lots of work, it is finally lunchtime.  Nikki orders her lunch.  She has pizza with a side salad and lemonade.  She scans the cafeteria and heads to the far right corner.

Her friend, Cindy, waves her over.  “Hi Nikki!”   

“Hey Cindy!  That math test was so hard, wasn’t it?” replied Nikki as she sat down.  They talk through the rest of lunch.  Soon the bell rings. The girls say goodbye, and head off in different directions.  

The rest of the day goes slowly, and finally comes to an end.  Instead of going straight home, Nikki decides to follow her rival- Makenzie.

Mackenzie is sixteen years old, and one of the prettiest girls in the entire school.  She is also rude to Nikki.  She follows Makenzie through the school.

When Makenzie reaches the library, she looks left and right before ducking inside.  Nikki instantly thinks Makenzie must be doing something secret!  But, when she checked the library, she found it to be empty.  “What a bust,” she thought as she headed home.

Chapter Two

The lights were out when she arrived home.  “Mom, Dad? Are you home?” she called out.  Then panic set in.  She ran around the apartment screaming for them.  

When she couldn’t find them, she went for the phone to call the police.  She decided to hold off and search the apartment for clues first.  She found a note taped to the wall in her parent’s bedroom.  It said:  

Nikki screamed.  “Agggghhhh!  Stupid Lylith!”  Right then and there, she swished her finger and teleported.  She arrived on the top of a mountain.  She jumped up, flipped, and landed smoothly through the mountain down to her base.

Hello Cat Girl, I've taken your parents! Come and Get 'em!

Chapter 4

Nikki looked around her base in horror.  It was trashed!  “Palm!  Did you do this?”

“Nooooo!” Palm meowed loudly.  “I would never do that!”  

Nikki ran back to one of the rooms.  One minute later, she ran back to the main room with her cat clothes on.  Her uniform is black and glittery.  She ran gracefully over to a very large tv screen.  “Locate Makenzie, Maxwell, and Lylith Minaria!”

The screen turned on and a map of the city appeared.  There were two dots right on top of Cliff End.

Chapter 5

“What is Cliffs End?” Palm meowed.  “Cliff’s End is a historical site.  It is where I saved the city from the evil dragon.” Nikki explained.  “I gotta go!”  She swished her fingers to teleport again.

When she opened her eyes, she was standing at the end of a very foggy city.  She mumbled to herself, “Where are they?”  She began searching for a trace of them.  All of the sudden the piece of rock she was standing on broke, and she fell down inside the cliff!
