In Agony Aunt activity, all the schools were matched. One school talked about a problem, the other school offered solutions to that problem. Just like in old days people used to write a letter to the newspapers.

MATCHING SCHOOLS
Dear Agony Aunt (Abdülkadir Paksoy Anatolian High School),
We have a big problem. We are having physchological problem because of pandemic. We can't focus on our lessons well. We aren't successful enough in the exams. We can't meet the expectations of our teachers and family. What do you advice for us? We are looking forward to hearing you soon.
Best regards.
RSYK Social Sciences High School
Dear RSYK Social Sciences High School,
Unfortunately,we are facing the same problem too and we are aware that it is actually a global problem for all students. We have talked about it a lot with our teachers and we first got some help from our school's counseling service. We attended a few seminars about how to cope with the "psychological effects of the pandemic". It was implied that we first had to learn how to "socialize" again, both in school and life in general. Of course, without trespassing any precautions or rules, we realized that organizing social events at school and taking part in them made us feel useful and active again.Fairs, exhibitions, short trips, several art or music projects are only some examples of what you could also do.
Teachers should organize and encourage students to be more than only "students" in their classroom. Even the most simple activities experienced together with both classmates and teachers motivates to be active and eager in the lessons. For example, we are planning a daily trip to Erciyes- a skiing complex in Kayseri. We would also like to express that parents and teachers should "take it easy" on us and not put too much pressure on our academical achievements. Success will eventually come when we learn how to freely live and love our life again.
Best regards.

Our problem is that our school moved to a new building last year. Now we are sharing the same building with another school. The school management doesn’t allow us to go and eat outside during the lunch break.Food and drinks in our school canteen are so expensive that we can’t afford to buy anything there. What shall we do ? Can you give us some advice as we don’t know what do to.
Thanks in advance.
Dear Süleymanpaşa Vocational and Technical High School,
It is quite difficult to adapt to a new learning environment but we think there are some solutions:
1.Meet teachers, parents and students' representatives to discuss the situation and come up with possible solutions.
2. Make team building activities to establish good working relationships.
3. Contact food catering services.
4. Rent a food and drinks dispenser.
We do hope the information was helpful.
Best regards,

Dear Agony Aunt (Tes-iş Adapazarı Anatolian High School),
Our problem is that starting from elementary education to university the first of top lessons that are the most hesitated or scared by students is mathematics. The behind difficulties of mathematic lesson the base reason of this fear which is shown against to mathematic is negative prejudice that appears in students during the primary years. It is needed to remove this mental barrier. Therefore, the hard subjects of mathematic for students should be explained with reasons. Can you please help us on this problem?
Best wishes.
İCSBL Social Sciences High School
Dear İCSBL Social Sciences High School,
We have some solutions to your problem. When we start learning, we realize that math is really hard, but we also understand that it can be improved as you study. It is important to teach students to love mathematics in the primary school because if they love it from the beginning, they will not be afraid of mathematics. When they start having fun doing math, they will see that it is not such a difficult lesson. We think one of the best solution is to express this lesson with symbols and pictures so that students can understand the lesson easily. Mathematics can be taught to primary school children with fun and educational games to break prejudices against mathematics.
They can join in math camps and practice math with games during the holidays, and this way, children's prejudices about maths are broken. We must make mathematics a part of daily life. We should create games and open courses on this subject.Another solution is to say that mathematics is easy and necessary. Seminars should be organized to convey the knowledge to the students.People who are good at mathematics can give speeches to our students.
In conclusion, By playing games and watching videos we can make our students like the lesson more, and improve their mathematical intelligence. Practice makes perfect in math. They will understand that mathematics is a lesson that gets better as the questions are solved and they like mathematics more. However, if mathematics is still difficult for a person, this is also very normal. Because not all people have advanced mathematical intelligence.

Dear Agony Aunt ( Aydın Social Sciences High School),
Our students feel that there is too much theory and too little practice during classes in general. They think that the amount of knowledge they need to take in is sometimes overwhelming and irrelevant. Their critical thinking skills are not boosted.
What do you think the solution is?
Best regards,
Colegiul National Iosif Vulcan
Dear Colegiul National Iosif Vulcan-Felicia Holhos,
We know that students cannaot be productive if they don't focus on the lessons.
First of all, we have to make sure that they are happy and having fun. For this reason, you can start the lessons with a warm up actvity like a game, music or having chat. If the first five minutes of each lesson are reserved for these activities, the lesson in the remaining time will be more effective. So they won't get overwhelmed and they will have fun. In addition to this, they will be more motivated.
Moreover, you can use some web2 tools in order to raise the awareness of the students. It will take their attention and make the lessons more enjoyable.
As a result, teachers should do the activities which activate the students and stimulate them in the classroom.
Best regards,
