The region around Sapanca is an important destination for day trips and weekend vacations. You should see this amazing place when you visit Sakarya .

The Bridge of Justinian is a late Roman bridge over the river Sakarya in Anatolia, in modern-day Turkey. It was built by the east Roman Emperor Justinian the first to improve communications between the capital Constantinople and the eastern provinces of his empire.

The Bridge of Justinian demonstrates the exceptional architectural knowledge, organization, and skill of the Romans. It is certainly a landmark worth visiting when you stay in Sakarya. The bridge can only be accessed by pedestrians. Vehicles are not permitted.

Hood Plateau is one of the most beautiful places in Sakarya. You can see Sülüklü Lake from this plateau.

Davlumbaz Plateau is located in the west of the Lake Sülüklü. This beutiful plateau is one of the must-see places in Sakarya.

Perşembe Plateau is a high meadow, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the area located 17 km from the town of Aybastı, Ordu. Its altitude is about 1500 meters. Perşembe Plateau has one of the best example of meander in Turkey even its picture is already taken place at geography textbooks.

Folklore festivals and country fairs are held every year in July. Various competitions in festivals, folklore shows, concerts, social and cultural events, wrestling competitions, horse races etc. events are held.

JASON CHURCH: Situated at Cape Jason (Tr: Yason Burnu) along one of the most picturesque locations on the Black Sea coastline between Fatsa and Ordu is the Greek Orthodox Jason Church.The location is named after Jason who moored his vessel (the Argo) here, together with his Argonauts on their voyage to find the Golden Fleece. The church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and was built in 1869.

CAPE JASON (Yason Burnu) is a cape located at, Perşembe district, Ordu Province, Turkey (the North East Shores of Turkey). Its name is derived from the Greek mythological hero Jason of the Argonauts. Cape Jason Natural and Archeological Sit Area is on the borders of Çaytepe village in Perşembe county, on a small peninsula facing the sea. This area is currently a governmental environmental protection area, classified as second degree. The church still stands here, with the ruins of its garden wall.

Not far from Ravna Gora are two magical natural attractions connected in a unique protected area - the significant landscape Vražji prolaz and Zeleni vir. Due to its exceptional and special beauty and geological value, the resort was declared a special geomorphological reserve in 1962 with an area of 200 ha.

Vražji prolaz is one of the most beautiful canyons in Gorski kotar, about 800 meters long, on some sections only 2 meters wide, and is the result of the action of water that has eaten stone for thousands of years and made an unusual path.

The Jasle stream passes through the canyon, which is the name of the entire nearby forest complex. At the end of the Devil's Pass, 14 meters above the Jasle stream, there is an opening in the rock, the entrance to the Husband's House cave. It is about two hundred meters long, and at its end there is a hall with a pond. Strictly protected species of horseshoe bats overwinter in the cave and must not be disturbed when visiting the cave.The green whirlpool is another natural attraction of the significant landscape. A stunning 70 meter high rock that meanders between two wooded slopes, and two streams fall from the top of the rock. One quickly disappears into the notch, and the other collapses vertically in the form of a waterfall that falls in front of the opening of a cave with a pond and flows into the Curak stream that springs here.In the cave is a pond of emerald green color, crystal clear and calm waters. Underground spring - A green whirlpool about 50 meters deep is at the bottom of the cave and is not noticeable, and it was named after the color of the lake it creates.

Stara Sušica Castle is a real historical gem of Gorski kotar. It is located near Ravna Gora at 800 meters above sea level, in an untouched, century-old forest of diverse flora and fauna. According to some sources, the Franks had a town in Stara Sušica in the Middle Ages, which even the Turks, during the fierce invasions in 1586, failed to conquer. The castle building, a former Frankopan town, is located on a mountain slope, on the edge of a coniferous forest.
In the XIX. century the castle was owned by Count Laval Nuget, and in 1890 it was bought by Rijeka merchants Felix and Josip Neuberger. Both Nuget and Neuberger carried out thorough restorations on the castle in the romantic spirit of their time, and the castle has remained so to this day.

Erciyes Mountain, which has the title of the 5th largest mountain in Turkey, maintains its importance in terms of both winter tourism, mountain climbing and highland tourism and is flooded by visitors. Erciyes (3917m) is an extinct volcano, which enabled the formation of Cappadocia thanks to its eruptions 30 million years ago.

Probably because of the unmelted snow, the Hittites gave it a name meaning White Mountain. The Sultan of the Anatolian Seljuk State, I. Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev, started to have the building built in 1204, upon the will of his sister, Gevher Nesibe. Gevher Nesibe Madrasa is remarkable in that it is the first applied medicine madrasah in Anatolia. It is estimated that the tomb of Gevher Nesibe is located in the tomb inside the madrasah, which is also known as the "Double Madrasa".

In the bimarhane section, where the mental patients were treated with water and the sound of music in the old Turks and Seljuks, there is also a hammam where the patients can wash regularly. Today, the building is used as the Seljuk Civilization Museum, where all aspects of the Seljuk Civilization are discussed and the practices in the bimarhane section are presented with animations.

Kanesh is located 2 km north of the road on the 20th km of the Kayseri-Sivas highway in the North-east of Kayseri; It is within the borders of Karahüyük District. Kültepe consisted of the mound where the locals lived, and the lower city or Karum area where Assyrian merchants settled. The diameter of the mound is 500 m and its height from the plain level is 20 m. The lower city, Karum, surrounded the hill from all four sides. The first written documents in Anatolia were also found in Kültepe.

The documents called Kültepe tablets are documents belonging to Assyrian merchants and were written in the old Assyrian dialect and cuneiform. As a result of the excavations in Kültepe, plenty of cuneiform tablets, ceramic finds, architectural remains were found. Excavations in the mound include large buildings, single-bodied but multi-headed idols, nude statues and especially painted pottery, indicating that Kültepe was one of the most important cities of Anatolia in the Old Bronze Age.
